So what are the odds for the 0 - 11 Dolphins to get a Wild Card and take it to the Super Bowl? Don't laugh, just tell me what it would take?

It's mathmatically impossible: The 4 division winners get in, and the 2 teams with the best records. So if the Dolphins run the table that gives them 5 wins. There are already 3 non-division leading teams with more wins than 5. So for it to happen, there would have to be a few game results changed.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh drops a lot of passes too.

Anyone watching the Colts game? 3 challenges in the 1st quarter. Colts are just getting lucky... It's kinda lame.,

Seahawks vs. Eagles is interesting. Seahawks are ahead at the half and, considering how the Eagles nearly pulled off a huge upset vs. the Patriots, this means to me that my Seahawks are capable of winning the super bowl this year. Talk about a wild season!!!!

Sorry, but that comparison makes no sense.  A six-year span doesn't tell the whole story.  Oh, and Jerry Rice had the best year that any receiver has ever had...and it was in his 11th year.  Look it up; it was 1995.  Absolutely he could have bested the year that Moss is having now in his 10th season.

Randy Moss is a great receiver, a blue-chip Hall of Famer, but he played like shit in Oakland because he just didn't feel like trying.  It wasn't JUST because he was on a lousy team.  That disqualifies him for sure in the debate over the best receiver of all time.

Here is the comparison:

First Six Years in the League:

Rice: 446 rec.; 7,866 yds.; 17.6 avg.; 79 TDs

Moss: 525 rec.; 8,375 yds.; 15.9 avg.; 77 TDs

Statistically each is phenomenal. I'd have to say its a toss up to decide who is better than the other. In this comparison model Moss does hold a candle to Jerry Rice. They are, in fact, equal peers. Rice has a slight edge in TDs and yards per catch, but Moss has more rec's and more overall rec. yds.

Looking at these STATs and having seen OAK play in 05 and 06, its no wonder Moss is a new man in NE.

I don't believe Jerry Rice in his 10nth season could best the year Moss is having.

I think Bad Eli has thrown Good Eli into a deep, deep well, where even Lassie won't find him.

Edited to add: And that was the last accurate throw he made.

I think this is karma for all the whining Don Shula did earlier this season about the Patriots and how they'd deserve an astersisk in the record books if they went undefeated. He's a bit too obsessive about his undefeated season.

So, should we remember him for having an undefeated team in Miami, or for being the coach of the heavily favored Colts team that lost a super bowl to Joe Namath?

Hell, most people have no idea he even coached Baltimore. But, despite that loss (and one to the Browns in another title game), overall, he had an excellent career with the Colts.

You know, Don Shula was the greatest regular-season coach in NFL history, but his record in championship games--even BEFORE Super Bowl III--was amazingly bad.  Look at the facts:

1964: Shula's Colts lose the NFL championship game to the Browns, 27-0
Super Bowl III: We know all about that one.
Super Bowl VI: Shula's Dolphins lose to the Cowboys, 24-3
Super Bowl VII: OK, he finally gets it right.
Super Bowl VIII: OK, he repeats.
Super Bowl XVII: Shula finally gets the Dolphins back, but they lose to the Redskins, 27-17.
Super Bowl XIX: Shula's team has the best passing offense in history with phenom Dan Marino, but the Dolphins still lose to the 49ers, 38-16.

That's a record of 2-5 in championship games.  Amazing that a coach as great as Shula should have a 19-17 career postseason record.

I wonder if Najeh is out due to personal issues, they sort of hinted that is the reason he's not playing.

Congrats, Katy  I'm glad Ward set the team record, he's one of my favorite players.

Yes, it was a great night for Ward, getting the new record.
A lot of complaining about the slippery footballs.  Did you see Ben toweling off Willie?  That was a slightly homo-erotic moment.

The Steelers simply took over that game.

On the Browns, they were robbed. Winslow caught that pass.
