Status: offline 		My master plans on giving me a tattoo. In some way im very hesitant. You know its a choice for your life... I was curious on the opions of other. Or would love to hear how others feel with it. Well hope to hear from you.

I LOVE tattoos, on myself, and on others  I currently have 4, all of which I got to signify a specific time in my life; two on my leg when my daughter was born, one on my back when her father passed away, and one on my arm to signify the strength of family.
I want to get another that kind of integrates the two on my leg into one ( right now its a rosebush with a butterfly flying above it ). Not sure if it will happen though lol. The one I am with right now, is not a big fan of tatts, though I think he may compromise on it when I get my piercings done  /cringes in pain

Either way, make sure it's a tattoo without names, and a design you like PERSONALLY. It is on you for life and while you can modify them later...
All of my tattoos are my own sketch work, that way, regardless of the symbology of them, I adore them. Circumstances change.

Live with the design for a while..if you can live with the design for say, 6 months and not see something you wish to change on it. It might be worth it.
If you find you're looking at the design and constantly modify it..you're not ready yet. And for heaven sake, don't pick some picture off the wall in the parlor. Make it
your own.

Status: offline 		Keep in mind the tattoo you get will be there for the rest of your life...unless you get it removed and then the scar will be there for the rest of your life.

That is a longggggggg time.

Now, how long do you think your master is going to be there? Honestly.....

Actually, its a very valid point that should be taken into account. As much as we would like to say 'forever', we all know that circumstances have a way of interfering in forever.

Status: offline 		Ok thanks for the replies already :-) He would like to get me done professionaly. And something that would express my sexuality. I really would like to do something like that. Something that is slightly visible, so teasing imagination.. I like the kind of lower back tattoos really much. Something personal would be great yes. And a name i think is no good idea as well. Any other ideas?

Status: offline 		i would find it difficult to take something which is related too much to him. Because i dont see him so often. Only 1 weekend every 2 weeks. SO its difficult to really get a close relationship. WSO would something more general.

I'm ready for several more but one must take into consideration all the other opinions here 
each one does have certain meanings that I recieved throughout  my life
but I  do have one  would eventually like to cover up for personal reasons   and ( Imo ) I  would never have a name tattooed on me no matter how easy it is to cover it up

Status: offline 		If your relationship isn't any closer than "once every two weeks", then I would seriously recommend NOT getting the tattoo, or any tattoo that HE is part of the picture of.  Because, no matter how "impersonal" it is, it STILL is going to remind you of him when the relationship goes bad and cause you more grief than you'll really need at that time. 

And, with a part-time relationship like that, he only wants to "mark" you for his own amusement.  En dat is niet goed! When he makes a full-time committment, THEN consider getting the tattoo!  Bent je neit gek!

I think I'll have to take one from my own motivation. I took a tongue piercing 3 weeks ago from my own feeling and feel really good about it now. Though a piericng can be rem oved anytime. But the idea to take a tattoo still appeals to me. but have to do it for myself.

Status: offline 		I wear my Masters mark on my left thigh, but I have been with Him almost 4 years now. Make sure the relationship is the "One" before you wear His mark, it will be there for the rest of your life.

Status: offline 		I'm not sure what the objection is...is it that you don't want ink at all or that you don't want his name on you or what?

If you don't want ink at all, you'll have to decide how important the relationship is to you. Simply tell your Master the reasons why you don't want the tat and ask what the consequences are if you refuse. It could lead to a discussion of deeper issues (like trust) or could result in the end of the collar.

If you're worried about the design, ask your Master if you can choose it since it will be on your body. He will still know that he ordered it, but it's a compromise in order to make you feel better. He might refuse, though and then you're at the previous point.

If you're worried about the process, simply visit the tat place and talk to the artist. Ask to see the autoclave and such. Do research on the subject. Ask people in your area where they got their tat, especially if it's well done. But, also ask where they got it done if it's a CRAPPY tat!

For design ideas, try going to google images and search for tats. Also, go to symbols.com and look up "sex". That might give you some ideas, too.

i'm most afraid of taking something that i wil regret. And thinking if i want a symbol that reminds me of my master. I'm not certain it will be forever so think ill look for something that has personal meaning for me.

Status: offline 		i have a tattoo on the small of my back, it was designed by me and helped with and approved by Sab, as He stated above.

we met online and within days of meeting Him in real life i had the first one done, there are more to come very soon.  we are married now, as of last month and very happy.

the way i think it could be looked as, as many of my friends do who are marked from previous relationship is that its a symbol of their past and their happiness at the time, a part of them that will never be changed from their body or their memory.

Status: offline 		I also have four tattoos.  Like others have said, they represent different things that are/were important in my life.  None of mine are from the tattoo books or the posters on the wall.  That would go against everything about me personally.  I like being a little "different" and have created all of my tattoos myself, or with a little assistance from the artist.

I had one that was easy to change from the original tattoo and I was very thankful for that, as it became the one that I got when I became involved with this lifestyle and decided that it was for me.  It is the one that became almost a "gift" to Daddy when I realized that He meant what He said about submission not equating to weakness or low self-esteem.  It is my set of handcuffs.  It was a surprise when I got it and showed it to Him.  I will never forget it.  He moved my hair away, admired it, kissed it, and held me nice and close.

Status: offline 		My ink is in my av, for any who care to look, I have a another pic in my profile also...  I'm considering getting another done but it will have to wait a while (don't have the necessary $$$ to waste right now).

Anyway, regarding "tattoo's as symbols of ownership" - a few years ago a friend of mine started a relationship with woman who, for lack of a better term, went WAY overboard.  She had a problem with self-control to put it mildly.  After they had been toether a couple of months, said gal went out on her OWN and got "Property of insert Master here" tattooed across the small of her back.

Four months later she was back together with her husband. 

Moral of the story:  The only NAMES you might want to et tattoed on your body are children or parents.  Lovers, spouses, Owners, property... all can change and change QUICKLY.  Cover-up tattooes will cost $$$ and laser removal costs even more.

If you want the tattoo for yourself, please chose wisely!
