Who else saw it?  I'm supposed to be preparing for a long-ass day tomorrow, and here I am stuck watching the 4th quarter of what has to be one of the craziest football games I've ever seen.

I'm dying to know the last time a team won with a turnover differential of -5 and NO offensive touchdowns.

I don't know, but I'd almost bet money they were also playing against the Phoenix... exuse me, Tempe... excuse me again, Glendale Cardinals.  Bidwell's bombers are the true Master's of finding ways to lose.

Yeah.  My off-the-top-of-my-head observations:

Chicago's run defense is good, but Arizona's offensive line is just hopeless, so you can't really tell how they would do against a team with a serious running attack (like the Chargers).  Even Urlacher mentioned in the post-game interview that one of the reasons why he was able to make all those plays down the stretch was that they weren't blocking him.  OK, who's in charge of not blocking Urlacher?

Matt Leinart is probably going to be a damned good quarterback.  And I ain't sold on Rex Grossman.

The Bears have a lot of work to do.

Tony Kornheiser needs to keep his mouth shut and let Joe Theismann talk.  I'm not a big Theismann fan, but he has one advantage over Kornheiser: he knows what the fuck he's talking about.

Phoenix truly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.  Only picking up 6 points off of those 4 first half turnovers killed them.  As for Korny, they should have kicked him out and let Sir Charles stay in the booth.

Did you see the post game press conference with Denny Green? He flipped out and walked off the stage, but who could blame him? That was one bizarre game.

Evidently everyone lol.

You got that right, he's been impressive.

I love to read Kornheiser, but hate watching him. Get Paul McGuire back, he worked well with Theismann.

I was going to turn it off at halftime but I got a feeling
the Bears wern't done. What a fantastic, unusual, to say
the least, comeback.

I missed Denny Green's meltdown, did he really punch the microphone?  And does anyone else dislike Joe Theisman as a commentator?

You know that loud SCREAM you all heard last night?  That was me watching the game!!!  Arizona has a way of snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory...What can we say.. it's a gift.  Unbelievable.

Yeah, I don't particularly like him either, but he was trying to say useful things (you know, unlike the other two assholes, he actually played in the NFL), and fucking Kornheiser kept drowning him out with all this "team of destiny" shit.

After sleeping on it, I decided that the Cardinals lost because Edgerrin James rushed 36 times for 55 yards.  That's the worst rushing performance in NFL history.  No one has ever rushed that many times for that little yardage.  It wasn't all James's fault (although you have to admit that he's been a disappointment), and they really had to start calling different plays--even different running plays, if that's what was necessary.  How about a reverse?  Even a flea flicker?  There was too much pursuit, and running into the same wall 36 times was stupid.  Just one or two more first downs and this game would have ended differently.

I just don't see the teamwork with the Cardinals.

I love watching Ohio State.. they are like a well oiled machine or killer ants.  They move as one big unit.

I too wonder if Edgerin James has lost it that much, or was it the line or play calling? It looked like they were showing replays of the same bad running play all night. Lol.
I usually don't care who announces the game, but the announcers, especially Theisman and Kornheiser were extremely annoying.

Dennis Green has never won anything. His 15 and 1 Vikings got their butts kicked 45 to 13 or something like that at home 5 or 6 years ago by th N Y Giants. It was a play off game, and this Packer fan loved it from beginning to end.

I almost did, and now regret that I didn't make that phone call. I came close to calling my bookie several times yesterday. Yeah, okay... I know that close only counts in horseshoes and hand-grenades.

I know that the Bears have a horrendous Monday night history. This, along with playing away from home against a team that handled them well in pre-season just didn't justify the point spread to me.

It would have been glorious to see the Bears win and win the bet, but hey... I'll settle for just the win!

Gotta wonder about the wheels falling off our esteemed quarterback, though.

I'd say it's a combination of all three.

I guess Denny Green had the same idea I did after sleeping on it, because he fired his offensive coordinator today.  He certainly deserves some of the blame, but that O-line is an atrocity.

So did the Ravens.

As I've been explaining to people ever since St Louis managed to pawn off Bidwill's losers on Phoenix, the problem with the Cardinals lies at the very top of the organization.  Green can hire of fire anybody he wants, it won't help a bit.  Bidwill can, and no doubt will eventually, fire Green and hire somebody else.  It won't help a bit. just as all the other personel changes the Bidwills have made over the years hasn't helped a bit.  The ONLY personel change that could ever have a chance of turning that team into anything but losers is the one the Bidwills are unwilling to make.  And that is getting rid of the Bidwills.

It's been my experience in life that hierarchical organizations tend to be reflections of the people at the top of them.  If the top person has his act together, the organization will reflect that.  If the top person is a buffoon, the organization will reflect that as well.  This explains the Cardinals history over the last 40+ years, as well as their foreseeable future.

When Phoenix first rolled over for Bid Bidwill, it was suggested that he call his team the Arizona Cardinals and, since he'd be playing in a college stadium anyhow, maybe he could play a couple of games a year, even pre-season games, in Arizona Stadium in Tucson.  His reaction was, "No!  We're the PHOENIX Cardinals and we'll be playing in PHEONIX."  (Which was kind of ironic, considering they never played in Phoenix, they played in Tempe and are now, since suckering the taxpayers of Maricopa County into building them a new stadium, playing in Glendale... but, I digress)  My point here is, when he first came here, the rest of the state reached out to him and he slapped us and told us he didn't need us.  A few years later, he discovered that he did need us.  But, we don't need him.  Which is why you will never hear me use the name of this great state to refer to him and his losers.

What really pisses me off is that Phoenix was first in line for an expansion team.  Bart Starr was leading the organization to bring it about.  Then Bill Bidwill said he was considering moving his losers there and Phoenix rolled over and wagged its tail like a pathetic puppy dog.

There are only two things the Bidwills could say that I would care about.  One is, "We've decided to sell the team."   The other is, "We're moving to L.A. (or anywhere else out of this state, for that matter)"  Until I hear one of those statements, and I am NOT holding my breath waiting for it, I will continue to answer the question, "What's your favorite NFL team?" with, "Who's playing against the Cardinals next?"  One big advantage of this is that my favorite team is probably the winningest team in the history of the game.
