I guess Denny Green had the same idea I did after sleeping on it, because he fired his offensive coordinator today. He certainly deserves some of the blame, but that O-line is an atrocity.

As I've been explaining to people ever since St Louis managed to pawn off Bidwill's losers on Phoenix, the problem with the Cardinals lies at the very top of the organization. Green can hire of fire anybody he wants, it won't help a bit. Bidwill can, and no doubt will eventually, fire Green and hire somebody else. It won't help a bit. just as all the other personel changes the Bidwills have made over the years hasn't helped a bit. The ONLY personel change that could ever have a chance of turning that team into anything but losers is the one the Bidwills are unwilling to make. And that is getting rid of the Bidwills.
It's been my experience in life that hierarchical organizations tend to be reflections of the people at the top of them. If the top person has his act together, the organization will reflect that. If the top person is a buffoon, the organization will reflect that as well. This explains the Cardinals history over the last 40+ years, as well as their foreseeable future.
When Phoenix first rolled over for Bid Bidwill, it was suggested that he call his team the Arizona Cardinals and, since he'd be playing in a college stadium anyhow, maybe he could play a couple of games a year, even pre-season games, in Arizona Stadium in Tucson. His reaction was, "No! We're the PHOENIX Cardinals and we'll be playing in PHEONIX." (Which was kind of ironic, considering they never played in Phoenix, they played in Tempe and are now, since suckering the taxpayers of Maricopa County into building them a new stadium, playing in Glendale... but, I digress) My point here is, when he first came here, the rest of the state reached out to him and he slapped us and told us he didn't need us. A few years later, he discovered that he did need us. But, we don't need him. Which is why you will never hear me use the name of this great state to refer to him and his losers.
What really pisses me off is that Phoenix was first in line for an expansion team. Bart Starr was leading the organization to bring it about. Then Bill Bidwill said he was considering moving his losers there and Phoenix rolled over and wagged its tail like a pathetic puppy dog.
There are only two things the Bidwills could say that I would care about. One is, "We've decided to sell the team." The other is, "We're moving to L.A. (or anywhere else out of this state, for that matter)" Until I hear one of those statements, and I am NOT holding my breath waiting for it, I will continue to answer the question, "What's your favorite NFL team?" with, "Who's playing against the Cardinals next?" One big advantage of this is that my favorite team is probably the winningest team in the history of the game.
