LadyHugs -> RE: da whining of da subs vs. da whining of da dominants (10/16/2006 7:36:53 AM)

Dear MissyRane, Ladies and Gentlemen; Only the whiners really know. We can all assume why or to place theory upon such but, sometimes I sense some whine but, really is a lamenting. Sifting through the whine, there may be nuggets that sway me from just whining and a lament. Fine line though. To hear whining, I can only think for my mind's eye point of view. As a woman and with kids or without them, to hear a kid whine or an adult male whine; is like fingernails on a chalkboard. It is something to escape from immediately. A lament--I can listen to, as it be like an Greek Tragedy. Everybody has tragedy in their lives. The latest for me was in 2005. Those who ring a lament in my mind's eye will get words of what I feel from the heart. You are correct, in which Female Dominants do seemingly habor their sorrows and lonesome feelings inside. Only in quiet places and without witnesses, we cry as deeply as any other soul. Female slaves are given great latitude on expressing emotions but, I do feel that as dominants, we're held to a standard of being strong. So, self imposed control and composure is a dominant's strong suite. It is my feelings, that dominant women grieve deeply and strongly but, don't permit such feelings to surface, as other dominants both men and women--our peers may, and I repeat may--feel that it is a sign of weakness. But, when there are close friends or if there is a slave who is so entrenched in your life as to share with them; then dominants can grieve. Respectfully submitted for consideration, Lady Hugs
