As a bottom, I don't care whether she plans things in advance or not.  If she does plan in advance, I prefer to not know what she has planned.

When topping, I generally have a few ideas as to what I want to do.  I think in one way a scene is like a battle, the plan goes in the trash as soon as it starts.

i can pretty much guess...  Whip, Sir?   lol.  Still, He does plan within the parameters of that.. the main course is always gonna be a whip..  but details of what other tools might be on hand, or focus and duration are black hole data for me.

I am a planner but I also plan for the spontaneous :P

I like to have a basic idea of what I will do in the scene and I think about it but I leave plenty open for reacting to the sub and being in the moment.  Then there are times that I have worked out a great idea in my head and I no longer feel like doing it at that time so move on to something else which is all spontaneous.

I like both but I probably plan more than I do go with completely spontaneous.

If we are going to roleplay then its A. or if I have a special *theme* in mind, otherwise its B. both are very enjoyable.

Greetings all plan-ers and plan-ees...

The Bitch-Goddess of Love,
with her usual ironic sense of humor
has cursed me with the compulsion to
try, try. try in vain to plan, re-plan and control
most all of my interactions... not just the twisted ones.

Of course,
she already knows nothing ever turns out according to plan.

But I keep forgetting that.

DD, a controlling old goat, still plotting and planning
after all these years...

I don't want to know what he's planned. And if he's using an implement I'm scared of, I don't want to know he's using it, I would rather be blindfolded. However I suffer from anxiety and have found that what others consider anticipation tends to turn to outright dread in me. Whereas not knowing means I don't worry myself into a frenzy beforehand.

Hello everyone,

I've found a topic I'm very curious about to know everyone's thoughts.

Would you rather...

A. Plan out a scene ahead of time, knowing when, where, and how it will happen? What will be used, and what will be done?

Or

B. Just let impulse, improv, and creativity take it's course?

Me? I enjoy both. The thought of Sir telling me, and reminding me all day what's going to happen. The anticipation, of knowing it's already planned and waiting to happen.

I also like the surprise that comes with just going into it. Thrown into the rush of things, adrenalin striking before I can think.

Apart from the obvious need to make plans regrding safety and the mutual enjoyment of the scene like safewords etc., and what kind of toys you may feel like using, I vote for making it up as you go along.

i am so glad i saw this thread
i plan everything i do lol all the time i like to know whats happening and why and when with everything in my life, so when i met my new sub i wanted to plan everything down to the last detail and got very excited about it.  Then unexpectidly i managed to see him sooner than i thought for different reasons and had the urge to be complately spontanious  which suprised us both and its made me realise that both ways are fun i think it all comes down to, as everyone has aleady pointed out,  where you are and what it is exactly you want to be doing
