Status: offline 		Are you (or your partner) multi-orgasmic and does BDSM enhance the frequency and duration of your orgasms?

Also, do you think that the average person who is into BDSM is more sexually active, aware, and physically sensative than the average 'nilla?   i know that there are lots of individual variations, but i'm curious what the general trend is.  i have my ideas on this, but i wonder that others think.

No I do not think that is necessarily true. It was easier to find sex partners when I was vanilla, but unsatisfying

Yes and no. S&M is not about having orgasms for me, it is about the connection to my dominant, subspace and endorphins. I do not necessarily want to orgasm when in subspace, although I do get very aroused

I am multiorgasmic, and I was so before I found WIITWD, so that has not changed... the duration has been changing because of the attraction I have to my Daddy, the quality is much better. That is a person to person thing possibly and has no bearing on BDSM.

Nope.  BDSM play can be more intense and deliver a lot of sensation, but it does not really impact my orgasms in frequency or duration or anything "better."  If anything I am less likely to orgasm because I am distracted by other things.  That does not make it any less pleasurable or positive, but just different.

Since the percentage of the population involved in BDSM is so much smaller, I don't think you can accurately compare.  If forced to, I would say in my experience that has not been true overall.

Nope.  For me it's about skill and intimacy, nothing at all to do with bdsm.

I am capable of multiples, and for that I am grateful.     BDSM has nothing to do with that - it's usually a result of being comfortable with my partner and the level of arousal they have gotten me to.

BDSM hasn't changed my sex life all that much, just defined it a bit more.

*I* am multi orgasmic, and always have been.  I also have what has been affectionately termed a "short fuse".  I can orgasm really easily after the first one.

AS to whether someone into BDSM is more active and whatnot, I think that has to do with the nature of their association within the lifestyle.  Those who find chastity and denial to be their preferred methods of control or play tend to be less active (the subs, at least) sexually.  I am not sexually active with my boy yet. So, I have no idea if he is multiorgasmic or not. I cant wait to find out *chuckle* But in my other expereince, the boys I have been with have not necessarily been more active or more sensative becasue of the BDSM.  Just more compliant.

Maybe more open minded...maybe.  I think people are sexually active in general according to their preferences.  How they express that activity is the sole difference.  I think those who are into BDSM are just like anyone else just have different preferences.  It has nothing to do with sensitivity or activity.

Status: offline 		I've often told "His Highness" that I feel sorry for him and men, in general, because they were not built with the ability we have to have multiples.  That, in addition to the fact they need several hours to recoup before they are ready again.

But BDSM?  No, it doesn't cause or have much to do with this ability (if it could be called such) or the intensity of such.  All that is necessary there is a good relationship and good technique.

Status: offline 		After reading all the responses I am beginning to think that I am wayoff the charts someplace.

I ahve always had the ability to have multiples, but it varried widely depending on my partner and how "talented" they were.  My husband is amazingly talented (hhmmm maybe that's why we are about to celebrate our 25th anniversary????) and I have always had multiple orgasms with him.  However - they are way more intense and way more multiple in the last 10 years.  I have my own ideas about why, but bdsm and the Ds dynamic both have a lot to do with it.  Also I have gone through menopause and once that was done things changed a lot for me - for the better. Plus as I mature I become more and more attune to my body, I become more and more comfortable with my body and therefore more relaxed.
So - the bdsm - I can orgasm from pain, so if pain is added in at the beginning I cum even faster, if it is added as I cum I cum even harder.  Add bondage and it all increases.  Now look at the Ds - the level of general intimacy, the deeper trust levels we have reached allow me more and more freedom to relax, to just let go.

And guys- I am going to tel you a secret ... not all males need viagra as they mature, some males actually do this thing where they have every feeling and reaction of an orgasm but they don't actually ejaculate.  They can keep going and going and going ...   ( the first time it happened I thought I had "broke it"!)

Status: offline 		i'm not a huge fan of multiples because it's too personal.. i'll share that with my lifemate, but not another partner.  and when i do, it's in a completely nilla or neutral mode for me.  within the BDSM context...  what's an orgasm?  lol

The reason i DO this thing is to have an unequal thing, not to feed my need for reciprocity.  While i have had orgasms with bdsm partners, i don't feel particularly good about it afterwards, it feels like i allowed my selfish side to reign.  It's a bit like 69..  i can't concentrate on giving if i'm supposed to also be feeling the getting, you know?    That may change, my sexuality within this realm is constantly changing and developing.

And it's extremely rare for me to have multiples, I was quite surprised when it happened the first time.

Status: offline 		i guess i should answer my own question too.  i am multi-orgasmic (lucky me).  At least for me the average 'nilla lover and the average Dom are not a whole lot different with regards to my orgasms.   But when the magic is really there between myself and a Dom, as it is with my current Master, the orgasms can go to a whole other level.  There is a different category of intensity and pleasure that, at least for me, are attainable only with a special Dominant. 

As far as more sexually active, aware, and physically sensative goes, once again that has to do with the individual.  There is a very wide range in both the vanilla and bdsm worlds.  However the "best in class" award, at least in my experience, goes to a few special people in the lifestyle.

This is of course based on my experience and obviously we all have our own set of experiences.
