::giggles:: Ok. Ok. NO! not those names ::shudders:: Seriously though, it's one thing to be called "pet" or "slave" or somethng along those lines but why add the possiveness to it? I'm not thiers so therefore there is no need to adda possive word infront of "pet" or "slave".

All within My circle of subslave friends are endearingly referred to as 'slut, wench and subwhore' or any variation thereof..  affectionately

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: My pet? (9/22/2006 4:31:36 PM)

Na not for this one.  It's a diminutive, it's meant to test the waters and see how susceptible you are to them interpreting "rude condescending clueless dork" as "sweet hunky possible dom of my dreams."

Trust me, lots of people, specially the clueless newbies, get a little thrill of delight at ANYONE calling them a pet name.

ayasha -> RE: My pet? (9/22/2006 4:48:32 PM)

ummmmmmm, do you tell them that you do not wish to be addressed this way?  and if you do tell them, and they still continue that, what do you do?  If a Dominant called this one something that one felt was inappropriate, one would say so and ask them not to do it again.  If they did not respect that?  Then there would be no further conversations.  Simple.

NastyDaddy -> RE: My pet? (9/22/2006 4:50:04 PM)

You've been here for 10 whole days and already you want people to edit their form letters... what nerve!  [;)]

You're not alone in your feeling...it is one of my "pet" peeves...lol. I don't mind being called sweetie or dear....or even sugar tits or slut....but when they add a possessive to it for some reason it just really grinds on me....especially when it comes in initial emails. I usually tell them politely that I don't appreciate it and if it continues I just begin responding to them with "my boy" or "my little man". Seems to drive the point home.

gooddogbenji -> RE: My pet? (9/22/2006 5:10:52 PM)

I generally refer to anyone I communicate with as honeybunchkins.

The men from the forum who write me are generally a bit creeped out by it....  LOL

Yours,

benji

Thanks...it's good to be home and on the mend!

mstrjx -> RE: My pet? (9/22/2006 6:14:08 PM)

I know some clueless sorts that ask women to call them Master or Sir or Lord without having first entertained the notion of being in a relationship with them.  I try and be more respectful of their feelings so I would never suggest anything of the sort.

In initial emails, I make it clear that it's all right to call me either by my first name, or, if it has to be something else, Bastard.

It never seems to cause any problems from there.

Jeff

deltadawn -> RE: My pet? (9/22/2006 6:35:54 PM)

Maybe it is the responses you give them that make them believe they can do so?  Either way if someone calls you 'my pet' before they even know your real first name, chances are you can just move on...lol

I think that your name being Fido might be part of the problem.[;)]

Hey. One person's clueless noob is another person's fresh meat, sugartits.

"having a pet"?

Oh dear. I think we're back to the illegalities again.
