I'm attracted to someone who has their own sense of style. Doesn't have to be GQ perfect, but any personal syle that shows individual character gets me. A bearing and demeanor that shows confidence and a twinkle in the eyes that shows intelligence and humor and a bit of mischief.

I prefer tall males on the heavyset side with some muscle definition. I want nice clean dark hair, longer or short doesn't matter, eye color doesnt matter, a nice ass will get my attention everytime.

If he is all of that AND intelligent, funny, witty, well mannered and attentive then...thats my sub

I prefer men.... on the heavyset side with some meat on their bones.

LOL, I'm the same way.  Lordy, when I was thinner and found myself in bed with a skinny guy I had visions of rutting deer as his pelvic bones pounded mine.

Ever watched those wildlife shows where two antlered creatures get all tangled up?  I worried about our hipbones locking...   LOL

Chrisma; eyes that smile; TALL over 6', 6'4" is ideal; toned, but not with a bunch of muscles; younger than me; very little body hair; a metrosexual man, they look good no matter what they're wearing, or hair length, or face hair they have; caring; attentive; sexy; great butt and long legs. I agree with those that said bathed, that's really important and teeth that aren't rotting out.
That's the ideal, but I've also dated shorter men of 5'8" (I just feel like I'm going to break them, with the weight of my bones alone, though), some with a couple extra pounds, great smiles, but they had chrisma, that 'something' that just sparks and is sexy.

So ladies, what about a man, gives you pause to give that guy a *second* glance?

Depends on which way he is facing or how far away he is when I see him to be honest. I prefer broad shoulders with a nice chest but if he has birdy legs & no butt that cancels out any chance of a second or third look.

Call me wacky but for me the important stuff REALY is not about physical appearance at all. I would say tied for number one in importance would be intelligence and an amazing sense of humour, followed closely by another tie of kindness and self confidence. I am always attracted to people that are passionate about life.
Bad personal hygiene would cancel everything else out and I detest the smell of cigarette smoke. Laziness is a characteristic that I generally deplore.( I don't mean that, I am exhausted from the work week and feel like watching movies on the sofa all day Sunday, type of lazy. I mean, I don't feel like going to work at all, ever, sort of laziness)  In addition anyone with a drug or alchohol problem best avoid me like the plague.
As far as physical attributes I have been attracted to too diverse a group for me to even begin to list anything more than......it's really got to be in the eyes. When I look into someone's eyes and see something that makes me tingle....then I know.

LOL my first sub was VERY thin and I was alot thinner back then. We use to bang bones occasionally and I am NOT a masochist lol . I tried for years to get him to pickup some weight and he never did until he hit 40 and WOW he really did gain some weight. Wierd what age does to us.

The other day at work, the girls were talking about physical appearance, and what they are attracted to in a man at first glance.  i thought it would be fun to ask that question here.

Some preferred the clean shaven look, others preferred that gruff construction look, while others enjoy a casual appearance, etc.  My one girlfriend can't stand bald guys, and my other girl friend will only date a bald guy.  My sister is a butt girl, any guy with a nice firm butt turns her on. LOL!

So ladies, what about a man, gives you pause to give that guy a *second* glance?

believe it or not, for this slave it is just in how a man walks
this slave can not explain it in detail, but some men just have a certain walk that says 'hey look at me'

I like guys with facial hair, and beautifull eyes. I also don't find very skinny men attractive. Other than that... It's more of a personality thing...

Oh wait the fine line of hair? Yes, whoa! That is hot too.

i consider myself a wierdo when it comes to taste in either a man or a woman. especially with men though. i really have just a huge broad taste in men. i go from the geeky types, to the outdoors types, to the yuppie look, to the pudgy guys to just about everything in between. what i don't like though is the 'ganster style' of clothing/look. very unnatractive. the first thing i look at is the face, if the face isn't good i won't want to look further. but i typically don't go for guys that are extremly buff. for example of how weird i am, most movie stars are unattractive to me. brad pitt is extremly ugly in my mind for example.*shrugs* to each their own!

edit, i forgot to say i'm not usually attracted to very skinny men.

I love the bad boy biker look but honestly i think it is the way anyone presents themselves that catches my eye; are they smiling, head up, do they look comfortable with themselves?

Silly pup, we measure the wangs later, lmao.....

MMMm... hold on... let me dream a little longer!... that's the stuff

Okay... my fetish male is a guy that is strong or indifferent to social opinions.  However, the sexiest ones are geeks... yep, you heard me.  Those damned sexy guys that have their noses stuck in a book or a controller in their hand.  They may never have been with a woman.. or if they have, they were all clueless... YUMMY!  Give me a card carrying nerd, and I'm a happy Cougar... meow!

Thanks to all who have shared, i am enjoying this thread and i also have weird and strange tastes in guys as well. LOL!  i have a wide range, and over the years my tastes seem to include more oddities than most of the ladies i know. *grin  My sis and best girl friends tease me about my tastes quite often, but i really don't care what too many others think anyway. *smiles  i still have my same tastes from when i was young, (the long haried biker leather bad boy rock n roll image) and now have only widened my range of preferences (that even include the gangsta look!-lol).  The only things i really can't deal with are bad breath and smelly body.  Those two things just skeeve me.  i have also noticed over the years, that the guys that i tend to give a second glance to are those who will usually have a different look, and who stand out from the crowd and mainstream a bit.  My sister calls me strange...i just laugh, for i know she loves my strangeness regardless. *chuckles i do go for the eyes quite often though, for i believe the eyes are the windows to the soul.  i also love the intellectual types, for i know i am in for one hell of a challenging learning experience and i fall in love with those guys minds very easily, for i love learning.  i guess i just enjoy all forms of male energy, for most of my best friends growing up over the years weremostly guys.

For me, it's height... being tall like I am, I love a guy that towers over me  (anything over about 6'2" usually does it)

To be honest, I like men who are just slightly effeminate.  Not cross-dressing, but without those real strong secondary sexual characteristics like stubble and extremely hairy chests.  I love long eyelashes.  Hair not too short, but shorter than shoulder length.  I like clean shaven men, and really dislike beards.  I'll tolerate a mustache, but only tolerate it.  I dislike "body builder" physiques.

And like WhyteRavenne I also like nerds.  I like smart men, those who are curious about the way things work and a nerd's lack of experience is usually more than compensated for by his willingness to learn and take orders.

I'm not overly picky about looks, but there is a certain type that really gets my attention (and it just so happens that current partner fits that look to a tee!)

-tall, over 6ft
-Average build...I like big arms and strong chests, but not OVERLY toned.. I'm a bit plump and a guy with a perfect body intimidates me and makes me feel self-conscious about my self. Absolutely no scrawny, skinny guys either. Actually, about 20lbs overweight is perfect.
-Dark hair, short
-Blue eyes
-Medium amount of body hair...I want him to have some, but I don't want him to look like a gorilla
-casual clothes. I don't go for the preppy look.
-older than me, I'm 23, about 35 is perfect.

I am always drawn in by smoldering, soulful, dark eyes.  I also prefer dark hair to light hair.  I like a man who has at least an average build and even a few extra pounds are okay.  I do not find skinny men attractive.  I prefer a man from 2" to 6" taller than Me.  I gravitate toward the clean-cut, conservative business look.

With all of that being said, I have connected with many men who are none of the above and gone on to have great relationships.  The more I get to know a man, the less important physical appearance becomes.  However, the look I described is what turns My head when I don't know someone.

The investment banker/stockbroker look.  Clean cut, no beard, short hair.  There is something nice about that take charge suit/tie look.

A guy in a nice, crisp, suit always gets me going, too!
