Status: offline 		The other day at work, the girls were talking about physical appearance, and what they are attracted to in a man at first glance.  i thought it would be fun to ask that question here. 
 
Some preferred the clean shaven look, others preferred that gruff construction look, while others enjoy a casual appearance, etc.  My one girlfriend can't stand bald guys, and my other girl friend will only date a bald guy.  My sister is a butt girl, any guy with a nice firm butt turns her on. LOL!
 
So ladies, what about a man, gives you pause to give that guy a *second* glance?

Must have own hair - but clean and tidy
Must have one day's growth of stubble at all times, but no beards or moustaches
Some body hair, but not gorilla-like
No earrings or other visible piercings
Smart casual dress, clothes that arent worn to destruction before washing though!
No trainers (sneakers) or tracksuits unless he's doing sport
Clean hands and nails - no manicures though, please!
No aftershave, but no stale sweat smell either; ideal is that "had a bath yesterday" smell
Solvent, social only drinker, no drugs
Must be proven capable of running a household; no beer cans, underwear or pizza boxes lying around apartment, carpet newly vacuumed etc

GSOH (just to deal with me if nothing else)
reasonably physically fit
taller than me (but I'm 5'9'' so this can be difficult sometimes)
no knee problems.....

Status: offline 		I don't think I have a one size fits all what attracts me to a man.  What I like is a distinguishing feature, something interesting that attracts me and that can vary from man to man.  Often it is something with the face...intense eyes, quirky smile, etc.  Physical parts I also like are chests, hands and ass.  But different parts attract me with different people.

No - dont cancel the manicure appointment; I'll take it whilst you're polishing that hardwood floor (on all fours of course) - a manicure is no use to someone who has that sort of thing to do, after all? I'll have the pedicure when I get home.

Status: offline 		I prefer the clean cut look. I like short to no hair. There can be facial hair but nice and trimmed. Do not like tattoos at all but one or two are fine and can be even really nice if they are not too large, but the two things that will get me every time are nice eyes and a natural smile on a man's face. I also do not like all muscles and a hard body everywhere. Give me a soft spot or two.

Bonus large arms and a nice ass.

Status: offline 		must be tall. Considering i am 5'3..the world is taller than myself. But a man who is over 6' gets my attention. A nice smile, that means nice white teeth. ooo and dimples. Piercing eyes, gets my attention and a lil bit of facial hair.
Oh wait i just described my Dom...lol. Guess thats what attracted me.

The military look, which means for me:
Closely trimmed hair or no hair
No facial hair
Slight build or at least some tone
A few tats
If he's in uniform, I prefer BDUs for Army/Marines/National Guard, dress whites or blues for Navy/Coast Guard. Don't like Air Force uniforms at all, so where something else clean and neat. LOL

And:
Nice cologne or aftershave
Clean teeth, but theydon't have to be perfect or bleached, just have them and not rotting!
Little body hair
No visible nose or ear hair
More tats
Piercings
At least as tall as me
Younger than me

HOWEVER (the exceptions), I've also been attracted to men who
have long hair, especially on Asian men
have goatees (don't like beards), especially when bald
have no tats or piercings
are older than me (1st hubby was 12 years older!)
are a little on the portly side

These are the physical things off the top of my head. What I like in women varies a great deal, but the body art seems to be a reoccuring theme.

Status: offline 		I always look in someone's eyes when I meet them.  My theatrical training taught me the importance of eye contact and it's crucial for me.  Someone who will hold my gaze without being threatening is important.  I tend to like either brown or blue eyes - my Dom's baby blues are very intense.

An easy smile is a great thing - not so big on facial hair but it's okay as long as it's well groomed.  I prefer short hair on men, and rarely do I like sideburns.  Minimal body hair.  Freckles are adorable.

Arms and shoulders are my biggest physical turn on's.  Generally I go for a slender man, with some muscle but not a lot.  I like some soft spots. 

I -love- ink on a man.  *sigh*  I've got one tattoo and two more in the works.  Piercings on a man can go either way but they must be comfortable with mine.

Status: offline 		I always notice the eyes first.  I like large, light colored eyes, or "honey" brown.  Then I go to the hair.  I do like hair, but only on the heard.  It must be well kept.  I prefer longer and proffessionally kept. Buzz cuts just don't do it for me.  Then my eyes move to the thighs(.. not the crotch guys and yes, size does matter-girth over length.) then on to Strong solid thighs.

Status: offline 		WOW...I thought I was the only one in the world who hates sneakers (trainers) for 'everyday' wear!  That and tee-shirts with advertising on them; ugg!  I like men who dress like grown-ups.
 
Other than that, clean nails are a must...and that post-nasel drip-or rotten-teeth-smell is an automatic deal breaker.  Blechhhhhhhhh
 
I'm 5'8" and prefer taller than me (not that 6' is a must)  and for some reason I've never been a fan of long hair on men.  I prefer off the shoulders and find bald ((especially if you consider the general cause of baldness (excess testosteron)).  LOL
 
A quirk I've noticed is that small hands and feet squick me and larger hands and feet are attractive to me (in SPITE of all the jokes about same). Ever notice how small the hands and feet of the star actor on CSI?  
 
And for some reason I've always liked that fine hair on wrists; go figure.  Oh...or that line of fine hair from belly-button down;  OMG!
 
An absolute must is confidence and brains...that tops nearly everything else in my book.
