ETA: Although, apart from the questionable morals of some of the respondents who are married, these were all consenting adults who do not deserve to be judged.

Simply b/c of the fact that they are BDSM involved does not give anyone the right to "out" them. I think that is reprehensible.

Something sad did come of it, however. One woman who happened upon the Wikipedia page from Live Journal found her husband in the responses!

Very sad for her. From what I understand, she's taking it rather hard.

Even though I'm born and bred Oz, I was getting concerned as they seem to be mostly from the Seattle region - which is where My brother now lives!  Too much to read but at least none of the pics looked familiar!  [8D]

I feel badly for her as well. In one of the comment threads another person posted saying she had a CL casual encounter with that woman's husband as well...:(

Sorry, but I find nothing funny about what this guy did.  It's one thing to set up a pseudo-experiment and post aggregate results, it's quite another to out hundreds of people for your own entertainment.  Jason openly states that one of his main interests is "push people's buttons." Regardless of whether he broke any laws, this guy is completly reprehensible.

Now that everyone's information has been made public, including that of Jason himself, perhaps several of those wronged might decide to pay him a visit...

unfortunatly right now i'm not able to see the responses to the add. both the myspace link to the coments and the actual coments aren't working..can anyone post them here? i want to see the responses from the ad that everyone is talking about. i think it's interesting and somewhat common sense. the same stuff happens on this website and various other bdsm, sex, relationship, etc. perosnals so i guess i am more accostmed to expecting and seeing it happen. but i'm surprised people got information off of them for free just googling it. if people give me their phone numbers i usually try to whitepage or google their names or numbers and their usually private lines so i get no information except where they live.

Nope.
Which is exactly how i arrive at my opinion of Jason being wrong in his actions, and well deserving of a serious ass kicking.
It's certainly anything but funny for those who have their photos, personal info and emails etc posted there (i feel for the guy's wife, on many levels.).

The "ad" he placed was pretty interesting.  I feel comfortable that I'd never have replied to it, and would have even shaken my head over it in disgust.

First, the photo was of a woman's ... uhmmmm ... rear areas, when she was bent over, with her hands spreading her "parts" for all to see.

Second, I don't think there was a complete sentence in the entire "ad".

Third, the flow of the "ad" was (to me) nonexistent.  It read more like a primal scream than anything else.  What it DID scream to me was "trouble".

Which is exactly what the men found, who wrote to her.

Despite all of that, I do not think they deserve the trouble they are getting, and sincerely hope that Jason Fortuny learns what "trouble" really means.  I read some of his lj posts and "egomanical dipwad" are about the nicest words that come to mind.

the website that shows coments finally comes through. the whole experiment sounds abit rude but his coments are where he shows what a horrible person him and the girl is..i'm amazed that no one retaliated or tried to do the same thing with the girl, i mean their reasoning is that these people are dumb for responding, wouldn't you be dumb to let someone show photos like that of you all over the net? and not only that it starts getting into topics like this:
