ORIGINAL: perverseangelic I have to admit I've heared some bad things about Vollers corsets in the corset communities I frequent. I don't own one, so I have no idea, but what people I know say is that they're wonderful for smaller women, but that for larger women the shape in the hips simply isn't curvy enough and one ends up with the "sausage' look. (this information is from the Corsetry community on Livejournal) Having been the manager of a large fetish boutique on the east coast whose main traffic was corsetry, I'd have to agree with that sentiment. Off the rack Vollers is ok for folks who are perfectly proportioned, or for a first cheapie corset for fetish wearing only, but it's not going to be an exceptional fit. FIT is what inspires the wearer to continue wearing the garment, and this is especially important for waist training or for wearers who expect to be in their garment for hours at a time. A corset that is not fitted properly, has pinch points, boning not working for the wearers physical attributes, or that is too long or short for the torso simply will not meet the customer's needs.
