Not sure what i find more distastefull, Flaming people and attacking them rather than their posts or seeing biblical and other religious quotes batted about to prove the unprovable.. Still I accord others the right to air their religious beliefs no matter how distressing it is and move on to another thread. pity to see another thread go down the gurgler due to religious fanaticism..

Several of you (as is the constant in these kinds of posts) have a way of making sure that your opinion is predominant...

I appreciate your opinion...moreover, I appreciate your approach.  I absolutely appreciate your differentiation on perspective.

Wow.

Ya'll have a different opinion on things.

So do I.

I appreciate yours.  It helps.

(Thank you).

"The Bible has some very kind and helpful ways of telling people to shut the fuck up and mind their own fucking business. [;)] "

(Nicely put)

Your quotes convinced me even more: Paul must have been a good guy.

I bascially tell them that MY Goddess loves everyone regardless of gender, color, sexual orientation etc. Why? because she loves variety. If their God doesn't like what he creates perhaps he should get a new job.

I fear that you missed my point entirely. My point was that Paul contradicts Yeshuah.

{edited for brevity}

I do not agree with the positions you have outlined in your post for several reasons, but I can certainly agree to disagree.  [:)]

I am not a Christian but didn't Jesus condense the commandments to one?

LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

"WHY IS THERE ENOUGH RELIGION IN THE WORLD TO INCITE WAR BUT NOT TOLERANCE?".
A quote from one of my favorite tee shirts.

I do not think this has anything to do with love.  Paul never taught to not love anyone.  He taught that people that followed the Roman emperors example would not inherit the kingdom of Heaven.  I see nothing wrong with loving them as we love ourselves.  Two completely different concepts from what I can see.

So Paul was an apostle correct?

Why would you follow his teachings more readily than the teachings of the Son of God?

A philosophical question as i still worship the Mother and the Father whilst paying heed to all things and respecting the natural order.

One of my biggest issues with the Christian religion is this; If you picked up a newspaper and read that today a father nailed his only begotten son to a cross for sins he did not commit and made a public statement that he had done this so that his child paid for all the sins of mankind thereby washing us clean of our sins and giving us hope for a new beginning in love; What would you think?

Most of us would call him an abuser/murderer of the worst sort, someone who did this to his own flesh. The courts would charge him with felonious assault, torture and murder in the first degree but he would not be sent to prison he would go to the loony bin guaranteed.

So is God your Father (not mine i am a druid) actually the progenitor of child abuse and murder? After all we are supposedly made in his image; don't children mimic their parents?

Didn't God condemn the worshippers of Baal for this selfsame crime (they sacrificed their children in fire for the good of the people or to gain their gods favor)?

Sounds like bad parenting to me; Do as i say not as i do.

However, we are also instructed not to test God's grace by continually sinning.  You conveniently left that part out.  The point is this.  It is not impossible for a homosexual to enter Heaven, but he must know that he needs to turn his back on what he is doing and walk the straight and narrow again.

Here is the definition of homosexual;

Main Entry: 1ho·mo·sex·u·al
Function: adjective
1 : of, relating to, or characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward another of the same sex
2 : of, relating to, or involving sexual intercourse between persons of the same sex
- ho·mo·sex·u·al·ly adverb

Main Entry: 2homosexual
Function: noun
: a homosexual person and especially a male

While it does state "especially a male" that is not the entire definition.

So am i correct from reading your posts that you believe being homosexual is a sin?

If so why does your profile state the following? Are you saying you encourage the sin of homosexuality in females not males? If you believe it to be a sin why would you want to associate with a sinner? Bear in mind that the word" man" is often used in the bible, as it still is today in various publications to mean any human being.

"I prefer relationships with bi-females, although straight is also fine by Me.  I find there are several qualities that bi-females have that may not all be unique to their orientation, but always guaranteed."

Excellent point, twicehappy. And Yeshuah frequently associated with sinners, the unclean, prostitutes and the like. Oh, but I forgot... Follow the teachings of Paul, not Yeshuah! And Paul certainly does say to avoid such bad people. (1 Cor 5:11). And as we have already seen, it is necessary to ignore Yeshuah over Paul whenever it is convenient to justify your intolerance.

Oh, geez, wait... isn't that yet another place where the two contradict? But you are always free to agree to disagree with obvious, concrete facts, just like opinions!

Sarcasm, twicehappy, sarcasm. And not directed at you, either. I really did enjoy and appreciate your post, as it could function to show some people the hypocracy of their opinions. My sense of humor tends to confuse people, and is often lost on them alltogether. I guess this was one of those times.

So he thinks that fags are sinners eh?

Big deal, he has his own personal belief and I don't see you changing it. However, to keep it from being an over heated debate, reply to him with a couple of these statements.

1. So you don't think homosexuality is right. Well, they not complaining about christianity being wrong. Can you give them the same respect?

2. So you don't want to be gay. That's fine, you don't have to be. No one is trying to make you gay so why would you try to make anyone straight?

3. Christians where once persicuted for there beliefs and they did not like it. Now, as a Christian and knowing the Golden Rule, why would you wish to persicute others for having a different belief system?

4. So there are people out there who are homosexual. What's the big deal? What are they doing to you? Why should you care so much as to go out of your way to make there lives a living hell? It's not doing anyone any good. If God really wants something done about it, he has this thing called lightening to hit people with. Rather than trying to play God, just let go and let God handle it.

1. Goddamned liberal gays are always railing against Christianity. So are the Muslims, scientists, atheists, Socialists, Jews, and Martians. This gives me all the excuse I need to hate them all. It's in the Bible. I think they're called Babylonians or something in there, but they all look alike and are stealing all our good jobs.

2. I want to make others straight to save them from the eternal sulphury fires of Hell. When the firemen tried to save people from burning on 9/11, they got movies made about their heroism; when I do it, I'm a homophobe. Talk about your double standards.

3. Because we're right, whereas they're wrong. That's why it's okay for us to persecute whereas they were heretics and needed to be burned at the stake/crusaded against/molested in the confessional.

4. God isn't using lightning, he's using AIDS. But the lousy heathen scientists (these are the same people inventing the fiction that is evolution, by the way) have found effective treatments. That's why he sent Hurricane Katrina to punish the fruits and the scientists. Don't you morons even read the paper anymore? Don't be doubting God's wrath -- the Lord had Barbaro in second in his Derby trifecta, and look what how he handled that. Where was I? Oh, right -- gay people killed Jesus and JonBenet, so that's why it's okay to hate them.

Yay! I'm not the only one that does it!
