Newness will fade, but there will always be new things to do together.  Create a relationship, a living dynamic together.  Learn to enjoy the lows and the highs equally.

I love this so I am quoting it! LA you do have a way of saying it like should be...or is. [;)]

My Dom and I were brand new to this lifestyle when we met after knowing each other 10 months online. We are going on our sixth month of living together and we are totally in love, happy, and looking forward to the next 30 years or so together. Sometimes you really do find the right one for you. We am so thankful that it happened to us.

The key to keeping your relationship new is to constantly actively participate in it and adapt to each change willingly.

Just dont get too excited until youve lived together for a few years. Not that Im not happy that your happy, but living together changes the dynamics of a relationship, which leaves the question of how well you and your new love will adapt with it.

What are the odds?  Terrible.  But, it happens, and it's one of those remarkable things when it does.  I found love in my first experience, but, it didn't last.   But ah what a lovely light.

This is called new relationship excitement. NRE. Usually it fades by 2 years. But thats not so bad. You can get pretty comfy with that person and it turns into something deeper.

I too am a lucky person. Im at 2 1/2 years. Its still new and exciting. We're not over the mountain as of yet. yay!

Intersting, NRE usually means "new relationship energy"

But same idea.

Sometimes the focus on 'firsts' is misdirected. What you should hope for is that this is your last and you won't need to go through the process ever again.

It wasn't the first meeting for either of us, but it's been the last. 3 1/2 years out I can't wait for tomorrow. Every day gets more intense and exciting!

Have fun! Good Luck!

The first time I read that, i thought you said "what a lovely night", and was thinking that usually people don't use the word "love" for a single night [:D]

It took me several tries, but truthfully I know I'm pretty damn lucky to have found Riv as quickly as I did when I started actively looking. I know there are plenty of sincere, good people who've spent years looking and haven't found many good candidates, much less "the One".
