You can blame Elon musk if you like but it was always the Heritage Foundation Plan/ project 2025 and many on the right to slash Federal Agencies. With the Doge cuts they have probably cost more than they saved. Million will likely die because of those. American world brand plummets even more meanwhile places like China are filling that vacuum.

Be it Trump, Clinton and Musk's of the world, they are the deep state but I am inclined to think of the Super Pacs, wealthy individuals, Evil Big Corps, special interest groups and nepotism, as the true deep states. Those are the elites
