How ignorant of a post.....

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/president-obama-ill-veto-any-budget-if-it-limits-spending/article/2571507

Obama is going to shut down the govt if Congress doesn't approve increased spending in 2016. I wonder where he is going to come up with the funds to pay for it?

He would do it if:

"And if they don't, they'll shut down the government for the second time in two years," said Obama. "If Congress wants to support working Americans and strengthen our middle class, they can pass a budget that invests in, not makes cuts to, the middle class. If they pass a budget with shortsighted sequester cuts that harm our military and our economy, I'll veto it. If they make smart investments in our military readiness, our infrastructure, our schools, public health, and research, I'll sign that budget."

See that bold part? The President wants a good economy, Republicans do not. Maybe you should ask the Republicans why they would rather sacrifice the whole economy for the petty politics?

Oh forgot, your one of those people that can not hold your own political officials to any level of real accountability and responsibility with power.

You increase taxes on business and you increase the cost of products
You increase income tax and there is a disencentive to paying it. People get tired of paying taxes.

You increase taxes on the 1%, that bypasses the businesses all together. That you think the President is as dumb or more so than you really is comical. He knows not to increase taxes on the poor or the middle class. And there is no love lost on the 1% for most Americans. If you had the choice between raising your taxes or the 1%, which would you choose?

You dont want to pay income taxes? I got a great two step process so you'll NEVER have to pay income taxes ever again (for the United States of America at least):

1 ) Renounce your US Citizenship.
2 ) Get the Fuck Out of My Country!

We all pay taxes regardless of WHOM is in public office. I paid taxes when former President George W. Bush was in office. Did it when former President Clinton was in office. I did it while President Obama was in office. I voted in all the general and midterm elections in that time for better or worst.

Doesn't take into account the debt.

That would the debt your guy, George W. Bush ran up during his administration. It would take a while to fully explain all the tiny tidbits of data that created that enormous debt that President Obama 'inherited'. He also 'inherited' a bad economy created by bad decision making on the White House's part (not to mention the GOP in Congress that removed regulations like idiots). Yes, it would take time to explain all the fine bits indeed.

Republicans will probably go along with Obama. But is it the right thing to do?

Given that you have put the same about of study into Mr. Obama's budget as you have the Iran Treaty.....

....I would gather you have no clue what your babbling about! Rather than attack the President, how about READING his budget?

I would take the President's numbers over the GOP in some cases. The President seems to have good economic advisers. You need proof, I give US History: 2008 to Present. Through a number of events, he has reduced the large deficit to a more manageable number. The US Debt has not gone up as fast as under Mr. Obama's predecessor. The economy was looking like a depression in 2008. Now, we enjoy the lowest unemployment in a long time, the markets are up (the Dow by over twice its value in 2008). Leading and trailing indicators have been running steadily upward for months now.

When you look at things objectively, the President has been right more often than the GOP. But before bashing the President, try studying his budget until you understand it! The GOP has been at fault several times for coming close to a shutdown (including a partial shutdown in 2013). If the GOP presents a bill the President will veto; its not the President's fault; its Congress's. That is why they hold meetings. Many, many, many meetings on the subject. To compromise here and there to arrive at the final figure.

The more ignorant and dickhead-ish the GOP behaves, the more likely the President will veto the bill and force them to explain themselves to the American people. The budget is Congress's responsibility (as per the US Constitution).

Joe If you want to throw me out of OUR country, then I suggest you bring a lot of thugs with you.

Your the one bitching about taxes. I stated a two step process by which you'll never have to worry about future income taxes. I'm not the one stating to throw people out of the nation. You and others have stated a HUGE desire to throw people out of our nation.

The second problem is how to we pay for all these programs. You tax business and they raise the price of the goods and services.

This admission that there is no competition and that they are all in colusion seems odd. If there truely was competition then at least one competitor would sieze the tax as an opportunity to gain market share by not passing it on to the customer.

There is no competition? Where the hell have you been for the last many years!!?!?!??!?

In a coma?

The GOP and the Democrats have been 'locking horns' every since year since President G. W. Bush came to office! Each year it became more combative and violent (from a political perspective, not literal). In recent years, the GOP has screwed up on the budgets and got rightly blamed for their fuck ups!

Wanna try that again??? You are talking about something different than what I posted.

Lucy

I have hear these veiled threats before of deportation of anyone that doesn't go along with Obama, Liberalism, Progressiveness, Socialism, etc. And they were stated, not as opinion, but as a statement of fact. Sorry if I offended you or anyone else. It wasn't meant for you.

Also it isn't Joe's country. Otherwise he could run it as dictator in chief. It is OUR country. I make concerted efforts to make sure I say things like I think or I believe. I try not to state fact unless I believe it to be fact and when proven wrong I apologize and stand corrected. It has happened in the past and will happen in the future I am sure.

So when I percieve someone is wanting to throw me out of the country that I have pledged my life (until death) to defend, I get mad. If that is wrong, so be it.

I have a job offer for you under the conditions you have outlined above. Your gross income will be 100 trillion dollars. I realize this will limit your spendable to a meare trillion dollars a year...could you maybe cinch your belt a bit and at least consider my offer?

He's just spamming off a feeder site again. His "news sources" are all over the place, aka publications that he does not ordinarily read. What he's doing is going to a feeder site and clicking on links (always right wing stuff) that tickle his funny bone.

The offensive thing is how much he's spamming up the CMMB with this drivel.

I believe in paying a fair amount of taxes. If that percentsage is 25% of gross (no adjustments) then so be it. As long as everyone pays it. This pay more because you work hard (look at overtime, they get half - an expression) of it for taxes. And that is the middle and low income people. Just take the percentage of gross and charge it to everyone. Doesn't matter how much you make, just pay the tax. Simple. Smaller IRS, easier to compute, only one form to fill out for the IRS, no corporate taxes because they are charging fees to cover that anyway and the money goes back to someone sooner or later. Just a fair share. No penalties for trying to get ahead. Just a fair share. And I believe the cost of goods and services will ultimately go down.

OK Thompson How much did your first computer or first color TV cost. My first computer cost over $1200 and my first color tv cost over a months pay (over $400 = 1980's). My latest computer with a hell of a lot more with advancements was about $500 and my latest color tv was $120 something. Prices went down.

My first computer had DOS 1.0 as its operating system and used 8" floppy's (1980's). I did have a 12" floppy drive system but I got it at a garage sale for next to nothing. Got it as a novelty item. The only one i ever saw.

My first program that I worked on used wires connecting boards together to get the box to do anything (1969). It was the Army's and we used tons of 80 80 cards and lots of recycle bins to put them in when we were done.

so you tell me. How much were yours and give us a date range please

If we compare the price of the first led wrist watches with their price at their demise we see a downward graph from new technology to obselete technology.
Lets compare a mechanical watch of the period and the same item today. I think we would find a mechanical rolex would be about the same as then plus inflation and maybe a little collector/snob appeal. I think the same would hold true of any other mechanical watch of a lesser known marque.

I've never paid more than $20 for a watch. LOL Haven't worn a watch since midnight, 30 September 1986. I used a 12 pound hammer on it then.

Are you....REALLY...this fucking brain dead?

Did I mention having to force anything to or onto you? NO. I didnt. If you understood that to be true, your living in a fantasy world; seek therapy! You stated you didn't want/like to pay taxes; I gave you a quick and easy way of getting out of that problem. That your bitching about the 'quick and easy' method tells me your 'OK' with paying taxes then.....

No, only those whom....VOTED...in the last general and mid term elections, have a justified right to bitch. If you didn't vote in one or the other (or both) and do not have a good reason....buzz off!

Yes, it is protected speech under the 1st. However, like all amendments, there are limits and exceptions to the laws. Best you know where those borders lie before shooting off your mouth.

I'll look into your 'suggestion'.....assuming your willing to pay off the portion of the US Debt George W. Bush ran up as President....
