"We salute the rank not the person" -former Maj. Dick Winters-

Mr. Stewart does a very good job of pointing out all the bullshit being shoveled by FOX News and conservatives. And not one of them has a decent comeback to the arguments. That they behave in a rude disrespectful and ignorant manner is simply showing all the rest of us what their 'virtues' are in life. At least it keeps all the conservatives upset and fearful of a massive ISIS surge in America. They in turn will buy up more guns and ammo, food supplies and go hide in their bunkers for a few months. Just in time for the mid term elections....

Ya know, I'm not surprised that the Right Wingnuts have completely overlooked the obvious in their rush to misjudgment. Civilians not in uniform do not salute. They're supposed to place their hand over the heart like we did in grade school, if they have to formally respond to a salute at all.

So tiring.

[sm=beatdeadhorse.gif]

That's for the Pledge of Allegiance. I've never seen a salute returned like that.

The point was that Dan Rather (What's the Frequency, Kenneth?) had to resign over pushing that lie

Wrong you blithering idiot.

The uncontested facts are that W failed to honorably complete his service. that is the very definition of desertion. His commanding officer was ordered by the AF higher command to investigate his failure to maintain flight status, which was the first step toward a court martial, but that investigation was never done ,or at least the report does not exist, and W's simply contract was allowed to expire.

Rather got in trouble for reporting a story about these facts that included documents that were forgeries. But the facts as I've presented them are uncontested by W himself because they are in his own military records as released by himself during his 2000 campaign.

Remember when righties tried to make a big deal out of weather a certain president was not a US Citizen?

Yeah, you of all people, Sanity, have no right to even....OPEN YOUR MOUTH....on the subject matter.

Yes, that was all that mattered to righties for the last....seven years..... going on eight now.

How that president could not lead us into war for that reason

I recall Mr. G. W. Bush had four reasons for involving the nation into the Iraq War in 2003. The funny thing is, that not one conservative can list off even one of those reasons.

ORIGINAL: Sanity

How...racist...of you Sanity.....

What did G. W. Bush do during the Vietnam War, again? How about Dick Cheney? They must have gone all 'Rambo' like on the VC, right? An M-249 in each hand, dropping the enemy faster than a modern day FPS'er in God Mode, right?

quote:

ORIGINAL: Sanity

Unlike the G. W. Bush era, us evil 'lefties' are ok with protests. Back in that era, anyone that protested the war (according to righties) should be tried as a traitor and killed.

How quickly you forget US History when its inconvenient to your political views, isn't it?

And no, they are not conservative, they are only ignorant nutsuckers.

That's a point I used to continually make. The Republican/Fox News crowd are from Conservative. As Ron Paul, so rightly labels them, they are Corporatists. That is what's missing in US Politics... A good debate. Democrats have no one to debate on policy.

There are many great ideas from logical thinking conservatives. There definitely could be great ideas for Obamacare.

Instead, we get "death panels", and "the worst law since slavery", and my favorite: "Government takeover of healthcare".

You have the top corporatists leading the Republicans, and the woefully ignorant leading them.

Unfortunately, no conservatives.

GEZZUS, THIS ALL SOUNDS LIKE MOST OF YOU ARE ARGUING OVER WHICH SHOE TO TIE FIRST.

How about looking for a solution to the messes that we are in instead of poking shittie fingers at who you in your infinite wisdom think caused it.

Read this and see what you think.

http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/MomsPDFs/DDDoA.sml.pdf

Note: I have not read it, I don't have the time.
I have to go to work to support my govt. local, national and wherever else they send the money and if any is left over I might be able to by a bean or two.

and for those of you that have an open mind and are willing to look at a man and not see color, I suggest that you consider Dr. Ben Carson for our next prez.

Best thing about him is that HE AIN'T NO POLITION.

Perhaps you missed all the calls for his impeachment?

Or that the Speaker is suing him?

I've listened to Ben Carson... he is a good speaker, and definitely gets it as far as the glaring problems and has ideas on how to solve them. The down side is I am not certain I believe he can leave his bible out of his politics. If he runs, I will watch his campaign very closely... if he truly can keep his religion in check, I may consider voting for him.

Do tell.

Can you cite any examples of what he "gets" and what ideas he has to solve anything?

There is a video on YouTube where he is at a prayer breakfast. I believe the President was there. Quite frankly, I don't want to derail the thread discussing him, so you can look it up... plus it is dinner time.

So he should be President because he was rude to the President once. That is what you're basing you opinion on?

Ken, I never said that he should be President based on anything. I liked a few things he had to say, that's it. I am not derailing the thread over this.

You did claim he has ideas on how to fix things. I'm confident I've listened/read every word the man has said or written for public consumption since the above prayer breakfast speech and I have yet to hear any such ideas.
