I think it would matter if you actually sat down, closed the door, and saw the words appear as you spoke them. If you were watching TV, cooking dinner, and yelling across the room to the computer, I do see where some of the value of the journaling process would be lost. On that front a friend of mine with severe carpal tunnel spoke to someone who multitasked like crazy... running a large organization, and doing all sorts of research and fund raising around the world, plus politics... and he said that the only version of Dragon that didn't aggravate him was the Executive version, which costs quite a few coins. FWIW, he also had that flat Midwestern accent that is considered the 'norm' in linguistics. But again, if you are in a truly quiet space, you might not need that fancy a version. quote:
ORIGINAL: LittleGirlHeart yes. but see with the insane journaling you bring the journal in and she reads it an then you can talk about it. so if dragon worked as good as it claimed you would still be bringing the journals in for her to read. you just wouldn't have hand typed it an believe me when your mind flies and your hands can kind of keep up but you have hours of a t housand miles an hour brain blogging you can't keep up lol. quote:
ORIGINAL: MalcolmNathaniel The only thing I can suggest is to try it. It may accept your voice profile or it may not. Give it a shot and see if it works. I don't think it'll work so well for therapy simply because there is no feedback. That's sort of the point for therapy, is it not?
