gentlypleze -> RE: rules to be or not to be!!! (7/1/2006 5:57:55 PM)

I was instructed to speak in third person a couple of times.   I found myself paying more attention to that, than having my mind on the scene, because I didn't want to say the wrong thing.   Just like most everything else, it's something that may be right for one person, but not the other.

i do agree with gentlypleze and desertdancer. i am also very grateful that You have never required this of me. Even though You know that i would do it if You required it of me Master.

I feel funny saying "I" in a D/s relationship. It is not role playing either.

Not a Gorean - actually just never investigated the philosophy, but admire much of what is said, but to say "this girl" or even "it" doesn't bother this one a bit.

hello all   i have a Question here for all its been discussed on the various groups me and my pet belong to and many here belong to as well....

when training a slave do you instruct/make them use the third person rule?(referring to themselves as if they are talking for that individual)..

No....actually as far as I am concerned it is difficult to listen to and very hard to read (I will actually avoid posts written in this manner). If someone is into it, good for them, but I still don't see the point...they still are who they are whether they speak (or write) about it from a different perspective, or not.

I do understand the concept but find it annoying to the extreme. I can honestly say this one goes on my hard limit list.

CrappyDom -> RE: rules to be or not to be!!! (7/2/2006 4:53:14 PM)

I think it is completely idiotic and cringe each and every time I hear that crap.

HouseofBear -> RE: rules to be or not to be!!! (7/2/2006 5:08:11 PM)

We do not allow anyone collared to us to use third person speech as it is annoying to us and seems very artificial.

PlayfulOne -> RE: rules to be or not to be!!! (7/2/2006 5:41:57 PM)

It just grates on my nerves, if I had to listen to it full time she would never get the gag off.

I had a dom I was speaking with one time... tell me.. you will speak to me in 3 person language at all times.. or not speak at all... haven't spoke to him in about 2 years now....LOL

Though it may be for others... it's not for me... and yes.. i'll even be denied ownership if it means not speaking 3 person...
