What I said was he needs to learn to stay out of any situation where he can be in deep doodoo just by being there.
Even if you don't threaten them, visiting your wife and in-laws with a firearm in your possession when she has just filed for divorce is stupid. Given his recent history, doubly so.
If you're going to visit, take a witness and leave the gun at home.
If you can't stand to travel without it, either stay home or sell it because you're too stupid and paranoid to own a firearm.

I ask again, how is it that you aren't saying he's guilty of the accusations, but you've already accused him of not learning to not use a gun as a brain replacement?
If he's not guilty of the accusations, your "some people don't fucking learn" statement doesn't apply.
You don't know if he had a gun there. You don't know if he threatened her with a gun. It is stupid to get into those situations, but it's not illegal. It's very easy to protect oneself from those accusations, too. But, you have said he hadn't learned to not use a gun as a brain replacement. Where do you come up with that, unless you have already decided that the accusations are true (which, they very well could be)?
