So tomorrow (later today actually) it is going to be 72 degrees by 8 am! WTF? I would be so much happier living in Alaska. I really do not like hot weather.

I also don't like that all we got of Spring was a bunch of rain, none of those days where the high is only 72 degrees, but everyone breaks out their shorts and sandals. Days where you can be outside and be comfortable, not sweating your ass off after 15 minutes, less if you are actually moving.

So what is everyone else's weekend weather shaping up to be?

I had to check your profile, because you described my weather. Lots of rain this spring, now it's hot. 99 degrees today, and will be hotter through the weekend. And, like you, I hate the heat!

The bummer about it all was I put my bike in the shop so I could have some great rides this spring (bicycle, not motorcycle) and between the rain and the heat, I only got three good rides out of it.

I'm with you, but thankfully it will only last until Sunday night. It will be a nice week ahead. :)

I don't think spring exists anymore.

Last year we did not have a spring: the lilacs here bloomed in April, which is really just crazy.

This year we did have a spring, mostly a bit cooler than normal and actually (with the exception of the last week - 10 days or so, much drier than normal.

However, spring will still be around for the next 20 days.... and this coming week will be very spring-like.

Funny you should mention it.

Roughly 6:30 AM in My time zone and fifty-five. We're supposed to hit seventy-seven today. Keep in mind, exactly two weeks ago it snowed for the last time of the season. Only a couple of inches but enough to cover the grass. A week later, (last Saturday) spring showed up in the course of a day. We drove to Fairbanks and there were buds still on the trees from the unusually long cold period. On the way home, there were tiny leaves and flowers. We spent a good portion of the drive home completely amazed in the change in such a short time.

Seventy-seven for us is just a step away from summer. We really don't get much past eighty-five even at the hottest points. I'm fully convinced that I am going to melt the first time I'm back in the lower forty-eight and have to put up with real heat.

Supposed to be 90 here today with probably that exact amount of humidity. Can hardly breathe when you walk outside. What's the word? Stiffling!!!!

Yeah, last year by this time mine were starting to rust out. This year.....they just started to open two days ago.

As for those complaining about the heat already....haha....sucks to be you! That's why I like living close to Lake Michigan....keeps us cool in the summer (though sometimes a little too cool)

We have had some very nice spring weather for about 3 yrs running here where I live. Rain.. enough to keep the state liquid. But this year spring must have busted because we got squat. It is hot! I hate heat. :(
I will spend my day inside making mermaids, fairies and fairy kits.

Tornados in my home town last night. If seems the last 5 years have been violent springs followed by hot dry summers.

After two drought winters, we completely missed the two weeks in March where everything turns green, and the wildflowers carpet the landscape. Spring here always comes with wind, but this year there were severe dust storms in the mix as well. From now on through September, a day where the high is only in the low 90's will be considered quite pleasant.

Today? Currently 90, heading for 99, and the humidy is low enough that the air blowing out of the swamp cooler was actually chilly, when I sat down in the living room for a few minutes.

Just so it all doesn't sound awful though, 30 - 35 degree temperature swings between the daily high and low are the norm, so our summer evenings are fantastic, and while any mosquito within 5 miles will find the wife, bugs aren't much of a problem at all.

We're in the 70's. And cloudy. Again. We just discovered last night water in our basement from the torrential down pours we had. Yay.
Normally I love this temp, but without the sun I hardly want to be out and about.
I'm not a fan of summer, either. Spring and Fall are my favorite - the seemingly nonexistent seasons.
So far, this year I'm enjoying our weather (but still would be nice to see the sun). Last year I swear we jumped from the 40s to 100s over night.

Lol…I used to orienteer. One Roganie I was entered in the 12 hour event. It was timed so all from 24 to 3 hour groups would end at the same time. We had entrants from all over the world. I enjoyed talking with them after the event.

They were all amazed how hard orienteering was in the Missouri Ozarks. They said it was easier to go up 2,000 feet rather then up 300 then down 300 then up 300 then down...etc as was necessary in Missouri. But their biggest complaint was they said they had ticks…and they had flies…and they had chiggers …and they had Mosquitoes…at different times of the year... but we had them at the same time!!

They were all bit up and looked like they had a fight, and lost, with a porcupine…lol

So hot summer evenings in Missouri are usually miserable…but I still love them.

Spring is in the same place all your left socks go to.

We didn't have a winter down here to speak of, at least by my standards. It got chilly a few weeks at night, but the days were pretty nice. I had my windows open from late deptember to right up until I left less than a month ago. The hotel I'm in now doesn't have windows that open....I'm dying for some fresh air!

Hot as hell here. Sounds very similar to yours LafayetteLady, except it's extremely humid here. I went out this morning to go a few places and then came home, figuring I would get a shower, change clothes and go to the food truck festival at the harbor. Yeah....I was too tired and crashed on the couch and now it's 7:30pm and I don't feel like getting dressed and going out. The heat just exhausted me. Blah.

The heat exhausts me, too. And...I've moved to a place that is twice the size of my old place, and it's on the second and third floors rather than the first floor, so it is hot in here. The A/C window unit that used to work so well in my old place is woefully small for this new space.

It's much warmer right now where you are than where I am, though. I am blah for you.

We actually had a rare spring here; steady cool fronts up to about 3 weeks ago.
