curious23 -> Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/24/2013 9:27:41 PM)

Okay so this is what happens. A sub with an attractive pic and a bisexual orientation messages you claiming that this site is a dead end if you want a REAL Dom/Master. They'd be happy to direct you to men you can contact in real life and they will also give you advice on how to best please these Doms they know to be the genuine artifact. Sensing the bull, you decline. They message back pitying you. Tis a shame such a young sub will have to learn the hard way because absolutely NO ONE is successful on these sites and any Dom who would even bother using it is a FAKE. No real Doms put their pic up or bother with typing out bios, they say and every success story is just a sub who hasn't been screwed over in the worst possible ways yet. If you bother replying to this message saying you'll be fine, they assure you that you won't and then they go on to list all the horrible things that WILL happen to you if you don't take them up on their GENEROUS offer right now. If you still insist on humoring this conversation, you decline again. This is when they get hilariously insulting. You're too stupid to know any better. They can't wait for you to crash and burn. You're naive. An idiot. Oh my God, ANOTHER hopeless case of a sub who will be ruined forever. Oh well. I tried. Good luck fool. I mean that. See you when you're beaten black and blue while your so-called Dom sells your holes to dozens of black men an hour in a back alley as he whips you, pisses on you, and takes pictures and so on and so forth blah blah blah...

At first I thought nothing of these types of messages but they are just so formulaic, going from "Hi I'm here to help" to "If you want to stay alive, you should really listen to everything I say" to "You're SOOOOO stupid. going to be BEATEN, RAPED and KILLED. Frankly, I can't wait. You DESERVE it". Is this a new type of scam? Fake sub profiles used to message other subs, pretend to act as guides or have your best intentions at heart and then just try and make you feel like shit if you decline as if they want you to say "Hey wait! I'm no idiot and I'll prove it! Where do I meet these gentlemen you speak of?"

I dunno. Maybe I'm just late to the ballgame on this one. I had never come across it before but in the last month, I've gotten like 3 of these from 3 different 'girls'. Is this new or old news?

tazzygirl -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/24/2013 9:30:39 PM)

I doubt they are "different" "girls".

Malkinius -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/24/2013 9:46:43 PM)

curious23.....
It sounds like a variation of two possible things. The first is that it is a recruitment scam for a pay site. They want you to pay to find someone and the chances that the someone(s) who will talk to you are people mailing out generic "conversations" are pretty high. There are sites that pay people to do that. Not such a bad deal if you are on their side. You just have to pretend to be 20-50 or however many different people every day and keep the suckers staying on the site and paying money to the site owner. I wouldn't use anything but a one time credit card number to pay for such a place. The second is that the "Doms" are also fakes but they are fakes of either the Nigerian or Russian/Eastern European types. Maybe they could be someone in North America as there are also some of them. They will want you to prove how much of a sub you are by sending them money, pictures/video (usually nude) that they can either shop around to porn sites or use them for their own or to later blackmail you with them after they find out more information about you. The latter is becoming more and more common.

The chances of the "three" contacts being the same person or group are very high. Now...are there real people who really have found other people on this site? Yes to both. I can say yes to both. Real people, Doms, Masters, subs, slaves and switches really do spend the time on CM to post something in their profile and really are looking for someone else or to be found by someone. If you start viewing a lot of profiles, especially newly created ones, you will start seeing patterns in the text where they are saying almost exactly the same thing as other people or things that just don't make sense for someone from where they claim to be. Treat finding them as a game and enjoy the reading. As for others, things like longevity on the site and if they post here in the message forums. If they do the latter they are somewhat more likely to be real. Real what may be the question, but not just the run of the mill scammer. Someone with 5000 posts is more likely to be what they claim than someone with 5 posts but that is no guarantee, just a probability.

Given what you wrote, I would consider them scammers of some sort so treat them accordingly.

"My! What a big MOUTH you have, grandma!

And what BREATH you have grandma! (Here, have a stick of gum. Please!)

And such horrible nasty TEETH!

And your hands are so grasping and QUICK, grandma!"

We have heard this story somewhere before.

BLOCK/HIDE/DELETE

Best wishes and a hat tip.

TieMeInKnottss -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/24/2013 10:41:02 PM)

Drop down a few threads here.. I had a "where did you meet" thread. You will see, in 3 pages, the majority of people have ongoing longterm relationships with someone they met on here.

Just0Plain0Mike -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/24/2013 10:51:35 PM)

I responded to TieMe's other thread, but the simple answer is, almost every serious relationship I've had started on-line. They weren't all from here, only one girl was someone we met here, and she's really Daisy's slave not mine, but all the girls in my life now were met at one site or another.

There are even variations on the theme.[;)] Message to a dominant woman: "Hi, as a fellow femdom, I want you to know I'll be moving away and my slave ____ is avaiable." There, the sock puppet woman tries to set up a connection between the sub male profile and the dom female profile.

BossMarkSir -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/25/2013 3:23:52 AM)

must be so innocent - Ive not seen anything like this before. Here or IRL!

Killerangel -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/25/2013 4:45:00 AM)

I know most of the regular players around here that have been doing this for years although without the dire warning part. All women, some Dommes, some subs, who regularly contact offering to set me up with a man that would be a great match for me or some variation. I usually call the writer out on being the guy in question and decline the matchmaking services which gets me a lame retort in return.

Evidently it must work sometimes, I"ve seen the same players/account names doing this for literally years now.

Once it becomes apparent that is the track they are taking then report the emails and then block them.

ResidentSadist -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/25/2013 6:33:25 AM)

Sounds like a sock puppet brigade.

littlewonder -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/25/2013 6:53:13 AM)

first, they are not girls. Second, they're not new. I've had them quite often in the past but not for awhile. I guess they're starting back up again. They think that if you fall for it, you will want to become "friends" with them because ohhhh....you saved my life!! Thank you!! She then tells you she has a Dom and that he would be willing to take you on and "train" you so you don't get hurt. That "Dom" is her. [8|]

Ignore, Delete.

kalikshama -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/25/2013 7:28:11 AM)

Send them this thread and then report them as spam and block them: Where Did You Meet?

Thanks for the responses. All great.

Scam,scam,scam. Delete,delete,delete!
There are many scammers on CM that prey on us Submissive types in one way or another. Unless someone's really dense, they're all spottable.
There are also a lot of genuine people here as well, stick around, have some fun, get talking to people, you'll find someone.
Look at me, a CM member for three weeks, & already dishing out advice like an old hand [:D]!
Good luck, best wishes, Gary.

I still get a chuckle about the thread title.

Yea I have no fucking clue what I read when reading the title.

MasterCaneman -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/25/2013 9:53:14 PM)

It almost leads on to believe it's an exercise in circular logic. All one would have to do create some sock puppets so it would be fake subs recruiting fake subs for fake Doms in real life and create an infinite loop ending in the Internet trying to divide by zero, crashing every intranet and connected system simultaneously and sending us all back to the Stone Age. Or create an endless stream of amusing and stilted messages to chuckle over...

descrite -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/26/2013 1:56:56 AM)

How is this supposed to work? Doesn't everyone on the Interwebs realize that female subs are the prized gold, and that male doms are a dime-a-dozen? When supply and demand are in your favor, why would you ever need "help" finding what you're looking for?

OsideGirl -> RE: Fake subs recruiting real subs for fake Doms in real life (5/26/2013 8:49:24 AM)

My friend , who was on here looking, got several similar messages, but they were from someone posing as a FemDom.

"Hey, I know a great guy who is looking and he lives near you..."

Beyond the fact, that she wouldn't have taken a recommendation from a stranger, she knew instantly that it was some guy trying to get women to come to him.
