Scam,scam,scam. Delete,delete,delete!
There are many scammers on CM that prey on us Submissive types in one way or another.

I don't know if by definition this is a scam.
I think that is a term overly used and incorrectly used.

OP,
Block and delete.

I'd definitely call it a scam. It's someone attempting to get someone interested in them under false pretenses. A person misrepresents their gender and identity in order to obtain a sexual partner or relationship of some type- sounds like a scam to me. It's not merely a lie told in person about their marital status for example, they are taking on a phony persona and carrying out a pre-made plan of fake emails in order to get something they want.

By definition a scam is when someone cheats or defrauds someone of something.
So no, this isn't a scam.
This is someone being a liar.

BIG difference IMO.

I think I'd still have to classify it as a scam. A scam doesn't just have to be something that attempts to defraud a person of money. If a person sets up an account specifically to pose as a third party to 'recommend' a Dom or a sub (the real person behind the sock account) to try to play an angle on a woman, I don't see how that isn't a scam. Definitely a liar, we agree, but more than that as well.

To ME a scam means they are gaining something financially or physically through the lie. What are they gaining through pretending to be a woman or a third party recommending a dom or sub?

Either way, it's horse shit. My thing is just be you. If it comes, it comes.

A scam is a scam, whether it's for personal info, money, or (as it probably is in this case) some loser trying to finagle a way into arranging a meet.

What do they get out of it physically? Meeting a girl in real life. They pretend to be the girl. The "girl" sets her up with her "dom" or another "dom" which turns out to be "girl" who is actually a man.

It's a mixed up story in a shook up world. Except for Lola. La-la-la-Lola....
