ORIGINAL: LafayetteLady I certainly didn't call men fools, was just stating facts. Got one of 'em right here: "As much as men think with their penis".... That isn't calling them fools, that is stating a fact. If they weren't thinking with their penis, why would nearly every guy try to get in a girl's pants on the first date? quote:
Or if you want your men to brush off all the good advice and shut down entirely, the status quo of emasculating testosterone type jokes (put it back in your pants, boys etc) is still quite effective.... Mocking men for being male isn't any way to get them to change old ways. And what does mocking women do? Men have a tendency to never ask for directions, how is pointing that out in a funny way emasculating? That's just the first example I thought of, but I'm sure many others could think of many more. Regardless, I don't see how wanting men to be a little more aware of their potential health problems and take steps to prevent it is emasculating. Frankly, your comments about the man taking care of his woman and family are more harmful and serve to continue the "status quo" of men feeling like that *can't* be sick.
