About the only thing I can say is that IMO this wasn't some big, organized terrorist group, given the kind of devices they were using, gunpowder in a pressure cooker with ball bearings and tacks can be (unfortunately) effective, but it is amateur hour , probably picked up from crap on the net. A real terrorist group would use more sophisticated explosives, much more bang for the buck.
Yeah, I heard the same thing, some pundit was going on about right wing groups in NPR, and of course, the right is immediately blaming Muslims (I am surprised they also aren't claiming God did this in response to Mass having same sex marriage). We don't know who did this, or why, it could also be someone disgruntled, someone who blames the country moving towards same sex marriage because Mass started it, someone wanted to run in the race and wouldn't let them, who the heck knows. It could be some muslim pissed off, it could be a right wing anti government type (I would love to remind Glenn Beck and the rest about Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, to cracker scum anti government right wing types who killed 173), we dont know and it is possible may never know. If it was Al Qaeda or some such they would have taken credit, which makes me further believe it was someone with a grudge. Could also be someone like George Metesky, the Mad Bomber of NY fame, who blew uo public places (but made sure not to hurt anyone), but who gained a little sympathy by bombing Con Ed, NY'ers public enemy number1..
Right now I try not to care, 3 people are dead, including a little boy, and his sister lost both her legs and his mom is in seriously fucked up shape. My only hope is they catch the garbage who did this, and either bury them in some cell 24 hours a day in solitary, or they make them eat white castle hamburgers until they explode....
