Status: offline 		I just stared this in another thread, but until all our daughters are trained to respond with immediate lethal force to any sexual assault, things aren't going to change. Of course, all we need to to is teach our daughters that if they're assaulted, they should consider their life forfeit, and their duty is to kill their attacker however they can.

Once we have a few rapists killed by their 'victims', people will learn how to treat women.

Well, I know it would not be every ladie, but recently in my home town, a 230 lb muscle brain tried to rape a petite 110 young Japanese girl attending college here.

He ended up in the hospital with broken ribs, nose and a knee that no longer supported his bulk.

She was a black belt in Karate and some other Japanese martial art, had been studying martial arts since like five.

Even though there were two witnesses to his attack, he tried to have her arrested for assault. Go figure.

While jlf makes a good point, I have a suspcion that kava maga could be more appropriate than karate in these cases: go for the eyes, the balls and the throat as you possibly can. Hell, if a good shot to the testicles takes the wind out of some wanker's sails, kerb stomping him might be a possibility afterwards: it'll certainly stop the fuckwit getting up and hitting you back...

It's actually Krav Maga.

Seeing as how this "Maintaining awareness of surroundings while dealing with the threat in order to look for escape routes, further attackers, objects that could be used to defend or help attack, and so on." is an important part of the art. Note: "escape routes", a curb job is unlikely.
One important rule in the street. Assume the person you are confronting has friends a few seconds away. Using that few seconds to either admire your handiwork or go above and beyond the call of duty can prove extremely injurious when said friends show up.
Some of you people need to watch fewer movies.

ETA The above is another reason why I think the idea of "Lethal Force" is idiotic.

To be honest, it's not a system I know anything about besides the fact that it's geared towards avoiding a fight if that's at all possible and seriously hurting your opponent if that isn't. That's why I thought it might potentially be a better idea for self defence under those circumstances. The point about idiots going about in packs is a good one, though.
