I'm just curious, if any of you have received this message.

God loves you and Jesus died for you God bless you and your family amen.

Just curious ...

Miss Diana

Nope.
If I did delete and block.
It's truly not that difficult.

Switcheroo1983 -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 3:06:23 PM)

No I have not. "Interesting" nick they picked...

HarryVanWinkle -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 3:24:52 PM)

I haven't gotten it. If I did, I would report it as spam, then block and delete.

I imagine this comes from the typical, evangelical christian belief that the only way a person can possibly not believe in their Invisible Man In The Sky and his Mystical Jewish Zombie Son, is if he is totally unaware of the myth. The idea that somebody, such as myself, can have had it preached at him literally thousands of times and still not believe it is completely alien to them. Thus, they feel compelled to reach out to the Heathen on sites like this in order to Save our Soles... er souls.

MyMasterStephen -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 3:27:47 PM)

To save arseholes...?

Oh no: THEY'RE the arseholes. Sorry.

DigitalJesus -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 3:31:13 PM)

I didn't die for anyone

LadyPact -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 3:31:30 PM)

OK, your post actually violates ToS. You are not permitted to name a user *AND* reveal the contents of the mail in an attempt to publicly shame a poster in a negative light.

If you don't like what the guy has to say, delete and block. If you believe the message is spam, report it as such. If you are offended by another member's user name, report it.

Sure, the poster spammed you. On the other hand, you just showed folks that you would out them for their activities.

Diana50 -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 3:59:34 PM)

LadyPact:

Sorry about that, I edited the post and removed the name.

I know to remove and block, there is another reason I asked if anyone received it.

Thanks guys.

Miss Diana

Diana50 -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 4:01:54 PM)

I've been here long enough to realize that I should delete and block, I wasn't asking for that reason, there was another reason all together.

I truly wanted to know, if anyone had gotten this message.

I'll indeed be careful not to use names from now on.

I have NEVER outed anyone who has written to me, I follow the rules here pretty much smack on, there was just a particular reason I wanted to ask this.

Miss Diana

OsideGirl -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 4:24:12 PM)

Yup, I've received it.

There are some Christian groups that have a mission to "save" people on certain websites. I marked them as spam and hope others did as well so that it will at least keep them from sending email for a little while.

TNDommeK -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 4:30:19 PM)

Yes I have. I just reply " I know"

Thanks for clearing that up. I AM out of wine though.

Since you're digital, do you think you could help me out if I waved my laptop over a glass of water?

And this is exactly the problem many Christians have with atheists. Many other comments on the board who aren't interested for whatever reason in the message, but they didn't need to resort to insulting Christians and people of faith everywhere because of it.

Tells me more about you than the person sending the spam tells me about them.

Yeah...I've gotten that for the last 30 years, from willful friends, emails, people certain I was going to erupt into a ball of flames on most Friday's.

A'yepper.

(From friends....hopeful I wouldn't :)).

I'm a Unitarian Universalist, an ostensibly Christian faith, and I approve of this message.

Diana50 -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 6:13:38 PM)

Thank you everyone .... I received the information I needed. [:)]

CynthiaWVirginia -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 6:57:54 PM)

I got a lot of those my first few years here when I frequented the chatroom. I also got a lot of "love doesn't have to HURT" from people trying to save me from myself.

To some people coming here, I'm sure we seem to be straight out of the pages of Sodom and Gomorrah and they cannot resist trying to save us from ourselves. We make a big target for those who got all of their education from some BDSM porn movie. [;)]

I see someone like that as not really trying "to do the Lord's work" but rather to be seen as doing good works. I'm Christian...but yeah, I've gotten those messages from people too. Not this current one though. [;)]

Yes, I did.

But HE used Comma's and apostrophe's....the above is clearly, by virtue, a fake.

theshytype -> RE: Have any of you received this message? (2/4/2013 7:09:10 PM)

Never got it. They must think I'm too far gone to be saved.
