My cat's the same way. She gets fed around 7 in the morning and again at 10 in the evening (the schedule is left over from when I was in law school, since that would be when I'd get up, shower, and leave, and then when I'd get back a lot of nights). At about 6:50 she's crawling all over me, headbutting me in the face, and "yelling" at me to get up. Then at night, she'll start crying that she's hungry about 9, every single night. How does she manage to keep up with all the different time changes? I don't know. Perhaps they have an internal clock, of course. Or, an idea that I haven't seen here yet...maybe they pick up on certain cues from their people? I don't know that I give off any specific cues, but I can't rule it out, and I know pets are sensitive to that kind of thing.
