This is Ace, she was a rescue that we found running down rt 40 during rush hour traffic 2 wks after moving to Maryland. She had a thick chain in bedded into her neck and had to have it surgically removed.

She has opened up the world for my son who is autistic and on the extreme end of the spectrum.

Last year she was given certification as a therapy animal.

I'm glad she found you!

My grandparents had a collie when I was born. She was my baby sitter. She would watch me when I was napping and let my grandmother know when I was waking up or getting into trouble.

I've always had dogs, but she is amazing.
She has away with my son when he starts acting out, she just mellows him out.
She follows him every where.

She is his dog and his companion.
She lets me know by barking when he is into something.
He calls her a tattle tale. Lol

No dog right now,but since someone mentioned their dog tries hunting moles,I'll show you my former mole/possum/cat hunter.Frenchie would sneak around the yard until she heard or saw the mole tunneling,then freeze until she saw the mole digging again.Then she would strike and got very good at digging them up.She learned to leave food in her bowl to attract the possums and would move her bowl so she knew exactly where she had time on her chain to catch the possum[or cat sad to say].Frenchie was a great singer too...but only to ZZTop's song Manic Mechanic.R.I.P. Frenchie [:(]

Punisher- beautiful Frenchie. RIP. my dog is not nearly as adept at mole hunting. she just shoves her nose down into the holes/trenches it leaves and hopes for the best.

Frenchie quickly learned that any movement spooked the moles and they quit digging.She learned to be completely still for up to 15 minutes or so...even if she had one leg in the air.Friends that saw her doing it said she looked like a bird dog on point and asked WTH is that dog doing.

I know this might be going OT but I ran across this article that shows just how loyal and caring a dog can be.
