LookieNoNookie -> I'm surprised this hasn't made the posts.... (11/14/2012 6:19:02 PM)

(Kinda explains who's riding the lists here):

This ain't never happened.....

(EVER).

(Before).

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/secession-petitions-now-filed-50-states-183500440.html

Now....Taz....before you lose your virginity on this one....allow me to quote: "Similar petitions were filed after the 2004 and 2008 elections."

But they never happened in ALL 50 states.

(At once).

key quote:

Of course, the petitions are little more than symbolic—and nothing new. Similar petitions were filed after the 2004 and 2008 elections. And at least one petition filed on the site asks that the president sign an executive order to strip U.S. citizenship from anyone who signed a petition to secede and requests that they are "peacefully deported."

until folks start marching on washington about this, i'm not inclined to take it very seriously.

Because ever so not bright one.. It was in the 8 page thread starting with obamaphobia...

I read an article on yahoo news about all the conservatives who were demanding to go to Canada. A Canadian stopped by the comments section and cheerfully informed them that Canada has gun control and universal healthcare, as well as slightly higher taxes than the US...

You know, you really do have to get over your obsession with me.

But, besides that.... is this supposed to impress me somehow?

Am I supposed to take those more seriously than these?

Allow the city of El Paso to secede from the state of Texas. El Paso is tired of being a second class city within Texas.

Stop using hundreds of millions of our tax dollars to fund planned parenthood. Where is our CHOICE? Defund them now!

Support a Resolution of Expulsion of Mitch McConnell from the Senate for his disloyalty to the United States.

I will say it again.... this is nothing more than some people acting like 2 year olds stomping their lil feet and whining because they didnt get the flavored cookie they wanted.

Find a way.

Hillwilliam -> RE: I'm surprised this hasn't made the posts.... (11/15/2012 5:27:14 AM)

I wonder how many of those who signed the petitions have a bumper sticker on their vehicle saying "America, love it or leave it" [8|]

subspaceseven -> RE: I'm surprised this hasn't made the posts.... (11/15/2012 5:37:28 AM)

It always strikes me as strange, how the very people who claim to Love this country and claim they are the most patriotic are the very same people who when they do not get their way want to no longer be part of this country...cause that is the definition of a democracy correct????? Our way or we want o quit being a part of you...

Grow up....the GOP lost, if you want to no longer be a part of this country then by all means leave, but stop whining about it and just do it.

How much courage does it take to sign something you know will never happen...just leave, and be done with it already

You're being way too nice.

Why is it that those who insist that liberals are sniveling little entitlement people and not really men are themselves acting like a bunch of whiny assed little bitches?

Grow the fuck up people.

LaTigresse -> RE: I'm surprised this hasn't made the posts.... (11/15/2012 7:00:54 AM)

Because a large portion of those that identify as Republican are shining examples of everything that is wrong with our country.

I am actually working on an op ed piece for two of the local newspapers about the demise of the Republican party and why I, and millions others like me, are not voting for their chosen candidates.

Back when, the South did not march on Washington. You have it backwards.

All these threads. All this anti-liberty rhetoric (which is what it really is). I have never seen the Left so out of sync to the ebb and flows of historical precedence. It's bordering on the vulgar. The Left is so misunderstanding what it is to be American, preferring the concept of Democracy and some Government fostered social utopia based on a skewed sense of fairness and equalitarianism. It's so incredible seeing the Left proclaim that America is one nation, indivisible, a shining example of democracy. It's abhorrent watching the Left lay claim to being that which is American. The reality of any secession is so American. It's the right of people seeking self determination who see shackles where liberty should stand.

The next iteration shall happen. The American cycle is ending. The melting pot myth is becoming clear. The Left neither sees nor understands this.

Actually...the south marched on and invaded Washington.....before getting their collective asses kicked, in total defeat.....by Washington.

The US offered this week to remove Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terror as early as the middle of next year if Sudan agrees to let South Sudan secede in a referendum in January.

Wow!!! Just,,, Wow!!![8|]
