I think I found a face to someone thats been posting here recently. I have my suspicions.

I actually felt sorry for the people in the video and even had some empathy. I know a lot of people; friends and family who have lives extremely close to the patients in the vid and I've been to psych wards to visit friends and family and it's really difficult to watch the people, especially your friends and family who are trying to get well.

i just found that very sad. i work with people that suffer with schizophenia, and there is nothing funny about it. alot of these people lead mentally tortured lives. it's no picnic for the ones around them either.

Mental illness is a terrible thing to live with. And it's sad that society thinks badly of those who have it. As if they wouldn't rather be "normal". Perhaps one day, those of us who suffer from it, will be accepted as human beings who have feelings too.

I know a few people who have siblings with schizophrenia. It's a horrible thing. A friend's sister is so magnificent in her delusions, I adore her. I wish that she could share consensus reality and not live in paranoia, but her personal world is remarkable.

No chuckles from me either, I'm afraid. One of my nearest and dearest has suffered schizophrenia. 'Like the worst nightmare, but living it while awake', was how he put it.

I can not comprehend finding humor in someone else's misfortune and especially serious mental illness.

There seems to be something to be wrong with a person who does not feel compassion or empathy and instead ridicules... .

Of, FFS! Too bad if anyone is bothered by it, but when the first guy announced that he needed to go inside because he was afraid someone was going to kill him, that was fucking funny. It was tragic, and it was a window into the mind of a schizophrenic (a condition which stole one of my brothers from us), but it was funny, too. These things aren't all mutually exclusive.

My brother, who is mentally ill and spent 6 months last year institutionalized, is starting to become paranoid and obsessive again. I didn't find the OP funny.
