People didn't find it funny. Ok. That's fair. I kind of felt bad for the folks in the video, Myself. Was the thread in poor taste? To some folks, it was, but does that equate a TOS violation? Is there a section of the forum guidelines that applies?

Maybe a Mod can help out because I personally wouldn't know the violation that would cause the removal of the thread. Even if every Mod hated the idea that some people found it funny, they still have an obligation to remove things, not based on personal bias, but according to what's stipulated in the rules.

Hence why I'm not a Mod (and hence why I asked that they might see the logic).

if you don't know why you want it shut down why should the mods decide for you?

other than the distaste of the subject there is nothing wrong with the thread. therefore it should be left as is for others to post as they wish to.

On a personal note, and I promise that I an NOT trying to get this thread moved to P&R......

I recognize, at times, that I really don't like what some folks have to say. Westboro Baptist Church members come to mind. It's very rare for Me to hate, but in their case, I think I do. Some of what they have done and said make Me ashamed to call Myself Christian.

Still, I have to remember that every opinion that comes out of My mouth, I'm permitted to say because of the tenant of free speech. And, if I'm entitled to free speech, so is everybody else. Does it kind of make Me gag when I have no choice but to swallow My own personal thoughts of exactly what I'd like to do to those folks because they say what they say? Yes, but it doesn't change the truth on the matter as I see it.

We all have our own personal hot spots. I'm sorry that some folks weren't happy with this one. The thing is, we can't always just silence what we don't like.

And, for what it's worth, I hope you were not offended by what I have said here.

I know exactly why I'd like it shut down...I'm not even the slightest bit unclear about why. It's offensive (to me....apparently not to others...and that, folks...is what Democracy is all about) because I find it offensive that others would laugh/find humor in others suffering. If that's unclear to you, feel free to post again and I'll attempt to explain it more effectively.

What I am unclear about is....how does TOS pertain to same, hence why I didn't speak out more loudly...only that I found it offensive and that I hoped the Mods would find logic in shutting it down.

I'm not a Mod, ergo, I don't have that authority.
