I love this thread!

Common 'plural' errors that frost my cookies every time I see them:

lys or ly's should be ies:
familys/family's (not possessive) is families
ladys or lady's (not possessive) is ladies
sissys/sissy's (not possessive) is sissies

Bevy, not beavy
Plethora, not pletheria
Sorry kiwi. Aside from the Spelling Police instincts which I cannot control, know you are one of my favorite people here and I love you! :-)

Then why when I spell "anothers" it has a red squiggly line under it. For instance, if I say "that is anothers opinion of..."

My old brain can't remember that part of school. I was probably talking or being a class clown.

Because it should be possesive: another's opinion of.

A quirk of quotes. (For a series of quotes within quotes; I invented and used this plural some minutes ago.)

Wow, I'm really learning alot, grammar/punctuation-wise from y'all. It's amazing how much some of us old foggies learned in school, yet have forgotten. Thanks y'all!

When I do that, it still has a red squiggly under it.
