I really do not care for the LOTR movies. Two Towers blew me away in the theatre as an 'effects' battle scene, but the third one? A travesty. I didn't bother seeing the first one. Trainspotting...sad. not watching it again unless I have to. Stephen King tends to write FOR his future directors...and he has editors that let him natter on forever, so many of his books translate okay. IT, and some of the short stories.

A fine film. But sad stories are triggery bad. "Comfort and Joy", and bit of Bill Forsyth frivolity. I think that was the one that had an actor with the same name as my dad! Hilarious.

Stand By Me. This, too, was a novella from Stephen King titled "The Body." I enjoy the film much more.

Oh wow I was visiting the family one time and Ten Commandments was on. Dubbed into Italian, it was like I'd never seen it before! Very compelling.

Greetings Most of the time I like the book better than the movies but there are some exceptions. Practical Magic is one of my favorite movies, I have read the book and I like it but I think the movie tell the story better and that the changes it put into it makes the story better. Lord of the Ring, yes it is horrible for a fantasy fan to admit but I have never finished reading the Lord of the Ring, I have tried several times but I have never managed to get though the books, I find the way they are written boring, even if saying that is like swearing in Church. I however love the movies and I have watched them so many times. My second favorite movie of all times is the 1992 Coppola version of Dracula, now Dracula is also one of my favorite books but I do think I like this movie version just a little bit better because Dracula and Mina actually have a relationship in this one and who can resist Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing. I wish you all well

Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite Harry Potter book, I really found it exiting and I think here is where the story is really getting good, yes it is talky but that is what I like about it, when that is said I do like the movie as well, but not as much as I like the book.
