You are correct, you are using the term logic loosely, since your post is not only devoid of same, but a damnation in toto of Willard the magic underwear man.

Jeremiah Wright was not speaking on behalf of or associated in any way the Obama campaign.  Nevertheless, Obama repudiated him publicly and thouroughly.  It was on the news and in print.

Sunnunu is closesly associated withWillard of the magic underwear and the fucking coward did not repudiate him.

He is one more of the typical teabagging, neo-con cowards we always have to have destroying america.

Obama rant was stupid, politically speaking. He showed immaturity despite nearly 4 years in office. The elites may actually toss him out.

The commentator, a first generation American whose parents came from the Congo, and she acknowledged this point, gave easily easily verifiable facts. My ten year nephew could find this information. They certainly were. Bill Gates started small, the government did not have anything to do with it. So did ted Turner taking over his father's business at age 24. Goldman Sachs was established 1869, the government gave out nothing then. Bill Gates actually tried to stay away from the government as much as possible. After Bill Clinton was bought by Sun and Oracle and went after him with the Department of Justice he started giving out acceptable bribes. The symbiosis between the government and big business is two way street, the businesses do not exist because of the government. Today the government gives them competitive advantage and the bureaucracy acts as a parasite. The population does not actually benefit of it in a bigger perspective.
Personal power and strong individual ideal has been American ideology. You see it clearly in arts and movies (superheroes, John Wayne, Rambo and so on). Arts are the reflection of the society to a great extent. It is not  related to parties per se. The Democrats follow the same ideology. Their selling point is rather to offer something to people who do not succeed (social protection by state, welfare and such). Obama has clearly different mindset, and this is what esp. constitutionalists and libertarians are worried about. Romney himself is not really old-fashioned Republican, rather a new breed corporatist. He is perfectly fine with corporate police state build-up.

For clarity...

The antecedent to "that" is not the business, but "roads and bridges," as well as the "American system" as a whole.

I remain unconvinced that any connection between rambo/john wayne and the arts is anything but tangental.
If we accept that art can and often does reflect the culture of a society then how might you contrast robert maplethorp/jackson pollick and your exampes of rambo/john wayne as manifestations of that reflection?
