FOX News insults the US Special Forces - 7/13/2012 2:09:10 AM

Yeah, they were quick to bash everything about the USA Team at the Olympics....including their headgear. The clothes were made by a [liberal] fashion designer, set to a [liberal] Red/White/Blue theme, wearing 'french berets' instead of baseball caps or cowbow hats. According to these 'news reporters' one must say 'berets in a french accent, since the word doesnt exist in English (LOL ?). And FOX News morning morons were quick to point out that all the clothing is made in China (actually it was made in the USA....). So basically they slammed anyone wearing a beret as being both liberal and un-American.

US Special Forces wear them too. So everyone in the US Special Forces (which is part of the US Army) must be both liberal and un-American (according to FOX News). Which just goes to show that to be on FOX News one does not need to engage that lump three feet above their asses!

Hey Joether lighten up you took what was said out of context completely. Some of the clothing assemblies was finished here in the States, however most of the product including the material itself was produced in China.. The beret does not make the man, the man makes the beret. De Opresso Liber

Is there any reason of being proud of the special forces? They are just a tool, a killing machine, every country has them. They are well trained for the purpose (at least so we believe, no way to evaluate, they are sure weaker compared to Taliban fighters), otherwise, there is nothing special about them. For a smart person it is mostly waste of life.

Yes, but let's be clear. they are in most cases very special forces. they are used as a small mobile force to go in black and get out black and have saved many more lives from the truly violent than they themselves have cost.

Even still, never to turn a town or area into our sort of informal vassal control.

The Taliban is soon destined for the dustbin of history and largely because of our special forces.

Yes, the concocted 'war on terror' and our leaving behind forces in Afghan and Iraq could be described as a new form of colonialism-lite and was has always been the pursuit of pacification for pipelines and oil but not to forever enslave or convert.

Capitalist imperialism 21st century style, maybe. But then we will still need to make more deals. It will be up to domestic govts. to stand their ground to achieve progress because of it.

Is the west engaged in the gradual decay of all but the cooperative ? I doubt it and there's still time to slow it and make a deal with it.
