Fun thread 
I actually really enjoyed being single. When the Mister came along, I told him my life was really good as it was, and men just complicate things. I told him it would take someone pretty spectacular to add to the goodness I already have.
He enhances my life, rather than complicates it, which is why it works so well heh (and yeah I probably enhance his, too). But that was the goal for both of us - if we both weren't getting something beyond what we already had as single people, what would be the point? I still travel, still do a lot of things with friends and on my own, and I use the vacuum cleaner to kill spiders. 
I learned after the divorce and after the fiasco owner dude after the divorce, I really genuinely would rather be alone than with someone who did not add to my life. I'm glad I had the time to figure that out for myself. I think it allowed me to enter this relationship with a much healthier state of mind.
And I kinda like the mens products around. They smell good.
