Do military personnel have much of a history of contributing to political campaigns? Vets of course being an entirely different story. Not even really sure how they relate, except to illustrate that their activity changes after they get out and a few years pass.

In other words, it's not really a fair comparison, is it? Romney's potential backers have been split up among many candidates until only recently.

"All Republicans" isn't fair either though as Ron Paul got way more than Obama by himself and that money would not have gone to any Republican.

So stop trying to compare things that have no basis for comparison. Your point is evidence of absolutely nothing.

Artur Davis, one of President Obama�s earliest supporters and a former co-chairman for his presidential campaign, announced Tuesday that he was leaving the Democratic Party for good.

In a post published Tuesday on his website, Davis was vague about his future political endeavors, but declared: “If I were to run, it would be as a Republican. And I am in the process of changing my voter registration from Alabama to Virginia, a development which likely does represent a closing of one chapter and perhaps the opening of another.”

Read my post ... I doubt these contributions AT ANY TIME are in any way meaningful or indicative of anything.
Certainly not in numbers like this:

"Army employees—the ‘boots on the ground’—have been especially generous, contributing $108,571 to the President while giving only $22,004 to his opponent. "

Really... Like who even cares all it does is show the incredible invalidation of the common man's vote has been in the wake of PACs being legitimized.
It's a demonstration that they have no say at all in the political direction this country is taking.

The innumeracy that is part and parcel of the teabagger movement.  Incidentally, Mr Paul has an (R-TX) behind his name.   And in actuality he may have been running as a tinfoiler, but nominally he ran his bid as a republican.

Why we're even talking about this degenerate till he beats another kid he juts thinks is gay, or invites another white supremest into his campaign is beyond me he does fine creating his own bad press.

BTW - I figure it's just a matter of time before he picks the zombie face-eater on acid from, Miami as his running mate.

What are you talking about? It's obvious as all hell. Some people are likely to donate to Republicans and some to Democrats. Those who donate to Democrats had one candidate to pick from and those who donate to Republicans had many. You can't just compare the Democratic candidate to any one Republican candidate and pretend like it means something. The Republican money was split up. Do you really not agree with this?

It's actually embarassing for Obama if he doesn't crush any individual Republican candidate on a metric like this.

You're ignoring Super Pac money--$500 million of it.

The Republican goal is $800 million combined...that's only $300 of Romney contributions.

Republicans had their choice as to whom they donate too. The fact that they split their money among many candidates on their ticket, including Ron Paul, doesnt change the fact that Obama has outpaced Romney. Will that trend continue? Time will tell.
