The thing is, Rush relishes the attacks, the more the MSM attacks him, the more his Dittoheads rally around him, and spend their money on his products, enriching him even further.

But who is Rush helping? My opinion is that he actually helps the Dems/liberals by giving them an enemy to rally against.

One of the Republican's main problems is that they don't have a "Bad Guy" to rally against. Hussein and OBL are dead. Someone trots out Jeremiah Wright occasionally but gimme a break if that's the best you can do.

Rush means well for his party but I really feel he is counterproductive.

We don't need a bogie man, we have Obama's record to rally against, the guy's a train wreck.

Unemployment down, Stock market up, Bin Ladn dead, Housing slowly recovering, Iraq and Afghanistan winding down.

You're right, trainwreck.

No, we didn't. Just because YOU say she wasn't a plant, or professional rabble rouser, doesn't make it so.

Equally, just because YOU say she was a plant or a professional rabble rouser, doesn't make it so.

If you're going to make claims like that, the onus of proof is on you. Either find some evidence or retract your claim.

So your 23 year old "coed" turns out to be closer to 30, and has previously advocated health insurance companies pay for sex change operations for Transgendered folks is just an innocent young lady wanting to protect her fellow women from the dangers of contraception and hormonal imbalance. [8|]

Nah, you're right, she's just an innocent young woman, unjustly attacked by the vicious right wing [/sarcasm]

Unemployment is only down because they don't keep the numbers on the long term unemployed who have exhausted their benefits. The real numbers are much higher. Bin Laden is dead because the previous administrations policies were continued. Gas prices are considerably higher than when he took office. He froze drilling permits. He rejected the Keystone pipeline project that would have sparked thousands of jobs. He's spent more money in his first term than all of the previous presidents.

Yep, trainwreck.

What precisely do you find objectionable about one exercising their constitutional rights, which you as an alleged copper have sworn a sacred oath to protect?

How long may someone recieve unemployment benifits?
How long has this guy been in office?
It is not calculus it is just arithmatic.

Bin Laden is dead because the previous administrations policies were continued.

The previous administration admited that it was no longer looking for ben laden? The current administration did not follow that policy.

Gas prices are considerably higher than when he took office.

If you compare the price of fuel in march of 2008 you will find you are mistaken. The price of fuel did not begin to fall until about two months before the election just as it will do this year.

He froze drilling permits.

Please check the oil production figgures for the past year and then you will know how mistaken you are.

He rejected the Keystone pipeline project that would have sparked thousands of jobs.

Please acquaint yourself with the parameters of the discussion before you post such foolish statements.

He's spent more money in his first term than all of the previous presidents.

What is your point?

Yep, trainwreck.

Bin Ladn is dead because the previous administration's policies were REVERSED.

Dubya disbanded the CIA group that was searching for him in '06.

Obama ordered the search restarted.

Let's call a spade, a spade, shall we? If she's a professional advocate, with years of experience, just say so. Instead we get the poor little twenty three year old coed denied basic medical prescriptions. Stop pretending she wasn't placed there by Mrs Pelosi, and Ms Fluke was a random student pulled from the ranks of Georgetown Uni.

It's pretty black and white from this end, Mr bold type.

If she's a plant, who's running her?

dcnovice -> RE: The Punks Of Talk Radio Now On A Shortened Rein Thanks To Rush (3/22/2012 5:30:51 AM)

<fr>

It might be helpful to the "plant" subplot to define what we mean by saying Fluke was a plant.

Obviously, any witness testifying before Congress is gonna be carefully selected and probably primed a bit. Does that make him or her a "plant"? If Fluke was a plant, was Bishop Lori, who testified on the all-male Republican panel, one as well? It's not like the GOP just grabbed the first clergyman it could find.

Perhaps the more important question is this: Does the careful selection of a witness mean that his or her testimony is without value?

Moonhead -> RE: The Punks Of Talk Radio Now On A Shortened Rein Thanks To Rush (3/22/2012 5:42:12 AM)

Looks like it does if you're subrob, yes.

(Playing around with definitions, btw, does not strengthen that argument any. There's quite a big difference between selecting and vetting a witness, and planting a sleeper.)

I'll spell it out so even a progressive can understand...

Ms Fluke has a been portrayed as an innocent 23 year old poor coed unable to afford her birth control, when in fact she's a 30 year old, with a history of activism, and apparently a rich boyfriend who pays for her trips to Spain and Italy, if the pictures I've seen are to be believed. If you're going to portray yourself falsely, one can be expected to be called on it.

I didn't see the Republicans trying to pass Bishop Lori off as anything other than a Catholic Bishop. like a poor 23 year old law student... Did you?

One article said something about 23. The rest said 30 but all the conservatives have latched onto that ONE. A 23 year old 3rd year law student would be a rarity indeed.

kalikshama -> RE: The Punks Of Talk Radio Now On A Shortened Rein Thanks To Rush (3/23/2012 5:34:35 AM)

So one REPORTER got Sandra Fluke's age wrong? Pfft.

If Nancy Pelosi had introduced her as being 23, that would be of interest.
