I'm a leftie, but I know I join with a lot of quite conservative critics here in saying: for such a wealthy country, it's a bit of a disgrace that it doesn't look after the people at the bottom so much better. I'd imagine Peon has caught pretty much how most Australians feel about the USA. We like the people and the place, we shake our heads at the (lack of) health and welfare, we're ambivalent about US foreign policy but out Govt finds excuses to send our troops into most of your imperial adventures. All that said, it's a place most Aussies like to visit.
