The GUI complicates things unnecessarily for a lot of stuff, and between that and MS memory management, you have to subscribe to the MDSN to get anything to work with all their spaghetti extensions and constant revision, and you have to develop enterprise software to be able to afford the MSDN, when all I want is a custom Calender/datebook with hyperlinking, and I don't want to spend six months and 10K developing it.
