Obviously, it's your prerogative to accept or not accept the apology. While not apologizing for his views may be deplorable to you, Mr. Limbaugh (as many have said, here) has been paid quite handsomely for expressing those views for many years. I would not expect him to say: "Ya know, in light of what happened. I'm wrong. Free oral contraception for all!". That would be disingenuous and it would undermine his entire career. Voicing opposition to democratic ideals has been his stock-in-trade for 30 years. It would be like asking George Stephanopolous (I hope I spelled that right) to denounce the ideals of the democratic party of which he has been a stead-fast member. No one would do that He apologized for the way he presented his opinion. That's what was "wrong". He's entitled to voice his opinion whether you think he's right or wrong. IMO, he could have said: "Everyone has a right to have as much sex as they want and they can have it with as many people as they want and I would hope that if they're not ready for parenthood, they would use contraception, if that's their personal choice but, they don't have the right to expect me to pay for it". He could have said that but, because of the absolute hatred we've seen here, directed at him, people still would have been up in arms about: "Everyone has a right to have as much sex as they want and they can have it with as many people as they want ..." So, I would have found myself in a bind, also. People would have been moaning and gnashing their teeth and talking about how that was "code for 'slut'". Peace and comfort, Michael
