I'm hoping that Limbaugh loses a bunch of advertisers and have links to two petitions to advertisers in this thread:

Rush Limbaugh has stepped over the line.

When Sandra Fluke bravely spoke up to protect women's health care, Limbaugh declared her a "slut" and a "prostitute." And declared that he wanted to watch her having sex.

We cannot stand for this.

Getting traction already. Two sponsors so far have pulled ads.

ProFlowers is responding to a flood of emails so far, responding that they're considering what action to take. I can't imagine them remaining  sponsors after such taint as this. Their product is geared primarily towards women. The ad phrase in people's minds now would be "nothing tells your wife or girlfriend what you really think of her than sending her ProFlowers- slut".

I actually feel some sympathy for the advertisers on this one. Radio has gone far downhill as a cultural element, being reduced to nationally controlled play lists and talk radio. Nevertheless, radio is far more cost effective advertising for many products and services than either TV or print. They do not choose programs based on their agreement with the content, but on how many customers obtained through advertising on a particular  station or show. Rush has put all these sponsors in a really tough situation, and they are going to lose some sales regardless of what action they take.

Along with writing to sponsors of the Limbaugh show about this latest strike against the notion that we are a civilized society, it might a be helpful to say that you have no issue with their product and may in fact give a better look at it if they find another place to advertise.

Leadership dispute with Rush Limbaugh

Please find me where Stern has ever even appeared ON STAGE at a democratic convention...
PS Rushes CPAC Videos are all over you tube, look for 2009/2010
seems the cons revere him much more than any liberal leader reveres stern.
And while they are both shock jocks, they may be irrelevant to you, but that doesnt make it true.
