Well, the "wealthiest" are already paying the most progressive tax of any of us.

How many more times can you demonize the "wealthiest" before they run out of money?

Till everybody is poor except those who run the government, of course.

I 'demonize' those who bribe govt. with all of that 'free speech' [sic] in the bank and through the plutocracy, peaceably assembling for a redress of their grievances throwing millions around on K St. and being rich enough I buy a capital gains 15% tax rate.

Kinkroids, when one can make millions and pay 15% and those making $100,000 salary pay 35%...just where do you think the fucking money is going ? Got any real bright ideas ?

Figuratively speaking of course, I as the typical greedy capitalist scum, wanted Cain elected because ALL I care about is how much money I make and what little taxes I pay...wanted a capital gains tax rate of ZERO. That's right cybersluts...Z E R O federal tax under a Herman Cain. Such are the great American values as reflected by their tax code and their politicians greedy cultural urge to...pay NO federal taxes at all. So yes...demonize me all of the way to the fuck'n bank.

I wudda had the American dream...making millions in capital gains from the golf course no less and paying...ZERO income tax.

Get a grip people, Newton told us, you solve all problems...with math.

Cry me a river

Tazzy such selfish cynicism doesn't become you! Have you no idea of the harrowing circumstances some billionaires are facing in these times of financial stringency?

Why only the other day I was advised of the heart wrenching case of an average billionaire - a hedge fund manager, gentle soul, never hurt a fly in his life - who was faced with the dreadful reality that the Ferrari he had his heart set on wasn't available in aubergine, and that he would have to settle for scarlet red like the rest of the great unwashed. Haven't these people ever heard of prestige, I ask you? Don't they understand what exclusive means?

I could relate tale after tale of similar vindictive abuse, harassment and malice directed at the wealth creators on whom we all rely for our financial survival. And don't get me started on those unspeakable Occupy people!

It simply has to cease immediately. Billionaires are sensitive types, shy unassuming achievers and if Congress doesn't stop harassing them, then they'll simply fire the lot of them and buy themselves another Congress.

Enough is enough (unless you're talking about a billionaire's bank account, in which case, enough is never enough!)

Yeah, bad tazzy! I will beg the man to spank me now.

We can't count that high.

Too bad its the Democratically controlled Senate that is holding things up. Nice try tho. (The Senate proposed 2 month extension is impossible to implement in time and was never intended to pass).

You don't really think you're kidding anybody do you ? Either you are just too partisan to see it or purposefully obfuscate ? It is the unconstitutional 60 votes to get past 'cloture' [sic] whatever that is, otherwise known as a filibuster (from the golf course no less) to get any bill to the floor, that is holding up progress.

That's so the capitalist and the corporatist need only buy that many...40. Nowhere in the constitution is there such a super majority except as specified.

This allows 40 (or more) senators to openly state that their no. 1 priority is to get Obama out, block every initiative and demagogue (lie through their teeth) about everything that the capitalist and corporatist/banker doesn't want. Now they threatened a shut down govt. for tax cuts for the wealthy and now threaten the same for tax increases on the middle class.

The writing has long since been on the wall people.

Youre full of shit. The only time Reid let the tax bill come to a cloture vote it passed overwhelmingly.

farglebargle -> RE: John Boehner/Republicans are raising your taxes... (12/21/2011 5:11:50 AM)

Yes. The Senate bill, which passed in the Senate 89/10 has such incredible bi-partisan support, Boehner knew it would pass in the House. And Boehner puts his Party and Politics before the good of our Country. Like one of them old Commies.

Ask your legislator why, if they go along with Boehner's anti-american, undemocratic actions, you should support them going forward?

967 days since the Senate passed a budget. Is the OP going to blame the republicans for that as well?

I blame them all.

I say impeach every fucking one of them for not doing their legal duty of passing a budget.

Actually I`m ok with my reps. This damm them all crap is a bit of a cop-out.

The founders put together a decent system of term limits called elections.

The government we have now is exactly the one we voted in,precinct by precinct.

And how they act is a reflection of and the fault of(or credit to) the people who voted them in.

J-boner is clearly a failure at leading and this is the proof.

There`s a pattern here with that guy.He clearly is not on the side of the middle-class.

That`s one clown that needs to get term limited next November.

tazzygirl -> RE: John Boehner/Republicans are raising your taxes... (12/21/2011 8:47:06 AM)

Just like with Boehner, we have reps we put into office who arent doing what they said they would do.. on both sides of the isle.

As a unit I blame both sides... because they are supposed to be working together. And, yes, I blame those who are doing what the said they would do... because the one thing they are not doing is becoming vocal.
