Funny that FOX News doesnt bother to EXPLAIN how those numbers were GENERATED. In a three way race between Mr. Obama, Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Romney, Mr. Obama wins. However, Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Romney are competing for the same nomination (the GOP ticket). Assuming no one runs under the third party ticket from the Paul and/or Tea Party camp, Mr. Obama beats out either candidates 3:1. What FOX News fails to mention (gosh I wonder why....) is that the President only needs to convince another 8-11% of registered voters to vote for him. Where as either Mr. Gingrich or Mr. Romney need about 34-39% of voters. The odds are even more against the GOP given their low standing in Congress and that the majority of Americans in several polls believe Republicans have created much of the economic disaster the country is currently enduring. In the end, voters will be much more disgusted with Republicans with their petty games and vote Democrat.
Its without a doubt, that Mr. Obama can ace either candidate in a general election. He'll appeal to the more sane types in our country. Where as the more insane the GOP candidate becomes (in order to appeal to conservatives) the less likely moderates will be to vote in his favor. The most amusing part of this is the question of what the religious nuts in the GOP will vote for: An adulter that lied to America.....OR....a Mormon (aka false-Christian). It'll be an amusing circus right up and including the nomination hour.
