"Don Imus Calls Newt Gingrich ‘Disgusting’ And A ‘Fat, Repulsive Pig’"

During a rundown of the polls this morning, Fox Business Network anchor/curmudgeon Don Imus colorfully ripped apart Republican frontrunner Newt Gingrich, calling the former Speaker of the House “disgusting.” “He’s a fat, repulsive pig! I hate to be so harsh,” Imus sniped. “You go out in the woods and find a piece of old, dead wood, you lift it up and underneath there’s a bunch of bugs crawling around and white stuff…that’s Newt Gingrich.”

The grumpy radio host lauded a Mike Lupica column criticizing Gingrich. “He just hammers him,” Imus noted.

Here`s Lupica`s column:

"Newt Gingrich's 'get a job after you take a bath' comment reeks of hypocrisy"

This time the beat of the drums was down the block from Mike Bloomberg’s house, Occupy Wall Street taking all its great noise uptown on a Sunday afternoon, trying to get the attention of the mayor of New York City. Though you have to say the protesters have done a pretty good job of that already, Bloomberg sometimes coming at them with enough police to invade Pennsylvania.

Sam Garcia doesn’t bang on drums at Zuccotti Park. He brings a flugelhorn with him instead, his own way of blowing some big notes that are part of the change and upheaval and new progressivism that is so obviously coming to this country, no matter who wins the next residential election.

Garcia, you should know, is another one who must confound all the unhinged shouters on television, the ones who seem increasingly desperate to make this protest into some kind of domestic terrorism. But then the only kind of change the shouters seem interested in, as they continue to play to an audience they must think is only made up of angry old guys, is getting Barack Obama out of the White House.

Garcia, 45, wears a windbreaker that has a patch for “International Union of Operating Engineers” on the front and when I ask him if he has a job he nods and says, A good union job.”

He does bridge work, lubricating equipment, checking fluid levels and hydraulic lines, like that. But there he is in the middle of the action at Zuccotti, ready to blow his horn when they started to move the other day. You want one of these loud-mouth media guys or politicians, the ones who try to tell you that the protesters sleep in their own filth and smoke weed and screw everything in sight, to come say all that to Sam Garcia.

Then be prepared to duck.

This isn’t a revolution,” Sam Garcia says. It’s a blue-collar fight that started in a blue-collar city.” He holds up his horn and says, I wanted to make some noise of my own.”

Which brings us to Newt Gingrich, one of the amazing hypocrites of recent political history, making some noise of his own over the weekend, telling Occupy Wall Street to “get a job after you take a bath.”

Gingrich, speaking with other Republican candidates at some holy roller forum in Iowa, then went on to say that the sense of “entitlement” from Occupy Wall Street just showed “how the left has collapsed as a moral system.”

Right. Gingrich talking about moral systems! Just the sheer brass of that is so funny. He is the one who should have been on “Saturday Night Live,” not Jon Huntsman.

Gingrich's first wife, Jackie, was once one of his high school teachers. He started stepping out on her before moving on to Marianne, who would become Mrs. Gingrich No. 2. Later she was probably shocked, as former mistresses frequently are, when this old horndog had the current Mrs. Gingrich, Callista, warming up in the bullpen.

You wonder if in Newt’s moral system such as it is there was any irony that he was fooling around with the woman who would eventually be Mrs. Gingrich No. 3 while he was leading the virtuous charge against Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Now he says he’s learned from his mistakes. Sure he has. Earlier this year, Gingrich actually told the Christian Broadcasting Network — Christianity apparently being something more than a hobby now with Gingrich, the way marriage used to be — that his marital infidelities were “partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate.”

If he thought he could explain away spending so much of his life acting like a sailor on shore leave, no wonder he thought he could explain away millions paid to him by Freddie Mac as money he simply got for “advising” for an hour a month, not acting as some kind of dirty lobbyist, because that would have been wrong, wrong, wrong.

Maybe that kind of “advising” is the kind of job he thinks Occupy Wall Street people should aspire to once they clean up. It seems to be awesome work if you can get it. He’s probably just worried Occupy Wall Street might make a move on Tiffany and Co., where he and the current missus have a now-famous line of credit.

Gingrich is another who wants to ignore the beat of the drums, a political has-been somehow under the impression that he is better than the ones who take to the street these days.

He knows as much about this country and what is happening in it and where it is going as he does about fidelity.

Good God! We had one of those guys who screw their highschool teachers that would have been on JERRY SPRINGER had he come along later as Speaker Of The House ... how fucked up is that.
Well I am sure the OWS people will run right out and scrub up because the man who was fucking a woman at the foot of his wife's deathbed says it's the MORAL THING TO DO. He ought to know, right?

Well there are some if us who are real glad that adulterer ratfucker moved out of our subdivision. It's a better place without him. We even had a gay President of the Civic association since he left. Still a large proportion of Faux-watching ratfuckers on entitlements, though,

Dear oh dear Sanity! When did I ever say that "character doesn't matter"?  I don't believe I ever did - it certainly not a view I hold..

Back to inventing straw man positions and statements for those who dare to hold another opinion to you again?  Stereotyping all leftists again?  Inventing fantasy opinions for them again?  Surely you can do better than that!

If you do have nothing better to do with your time and talents(such as they are), here's a question for you:
Would we even be discussing Gingrich's shortcomings if the rest of the GOP challengers weren't such a pathetic mix of no-hopers and outright looneys?
