What gets me if Gingrich is so opposed to the bail out and all, it appears the money he was paid, as well as others, so Fannie Mae could get influence in the government, came from the $169 Billion bail out they got. That is not the choice, at least not with respect to Obama (who I certainly did not and do not support) and Gingrich.  The few times I've tried reading his books or attended one of his lectures, Gingrich impressed me as simply another shallow Washington huckster out to make a buck.   He had his chance in the nineties and completely flubbed it with his very ill considered approach to governance.  That he is also old does not mean that he has learned much with the passage of time.  As Paul Krugman recently put it, "Gingrich is a stupid man's idea of what a smart person sounds like."
