Not that today`s polls matter( more than a short time).But I know this will provide some discomfiture for my con friends.[:D]

The real poll is on the 2nd Tuesday of November.That`s the one that matters.

Winterapple -> RE: New poll.....Obama ahead..... (11/20/2011 7:09:34 AM)

Ahead this poll, lagging the next. The president is going to be elected to a second term.
How close it will be remains to be seen.

DarkSteven -> RE: New poll.....Obama ahead..... (11/20/2011 7:17:23 AM)

The weird thing is that "Generic Republican" does better against him than any actual Republican.

No poll matters until the Republicans pick their nominee because until that happens those opposed to Obama will be split amongst several Republican candidates. But I know Obama minions have been anxiously awaiting any poll favorable to Obama.

The real poll is indeed on the 2nd Tuesday of November 2012. That is indeed the one, and the only one, that matters.

If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you aren't a racist, then you have to vote for anyone but Obama in 2012 to prove you aren't a moron.

The ursurper should not even be on the ballot, much less be re-elected.
How big a landslide defeat it will be for him remains to be seen.

tazzygirl -> RE: New poll.....Obama ahead..... (11/20/2011 7:40:37 AM)

Why would anyone vote to "prove they arent a racist"? Thats a ridiculous notion considering once that curtain is pulled, no one but you knows who you voted for.

wishful thinking Tazzy, he has to convince himself, cos he hasnt been able to convince anyone else, at least not that he is right:)

Let's keep it focused on the topic at hand, not the politics of Skyrim. Don't worry, though; the usurper, Ulfric Stormcloak, will get what's coming to him.

Fellow -> RE: New poll.....Obama ahead..... (11/20/2011 9:56:58 AM)

Where is Ron Paul? I have hard times understanding people who would want harm for Obama (his agony to continue). He is such a nice man. Let just send him to his new better paying job (consultant to Goldman Sachs).

Lucylastic -> RE: New poll.....Obama ahead..... (11/20/2011 9:57:23 AM)

what a kick ass game that is

LOL, it's not really that weird !

Ever play poker with some people who REALLY know poker ? Every once in a while they will not even look at their cards before betting. It's sort of a left handed way to shut the fuck up. The other players cannot percieve by your actions something which you do not know. These are the kind of people who say there are no bad poker hands, only bad players. Masters of the game. (I am not quite that good, but I try)

Well the republicans should take a lesson from that. Don't campaign or anything. Just shut the fuck up and run on the party line. Don't answer any questions, just pick one guy who really looks good (and on paper) and run him. Don't blow all that money on ads either, put it in the pocket (that should appeal to them). Literally from what I've been hearing they really would do better by just shutting the fuck up.

Y'know if Richard M. Nixon didn't know how to play poker he would never have become President.

T^T

The 'Generic Republican' is figured in as possessing none of the baggage that comes with being an actual person. It seems from the polls that the president's 'baggage' is certainly quite smaller and less annoying when compared against Republicans candidates for the GOP nomination. The president's approval rating right now is figured at 44% per Gallup Poll (most reliable in my book). Which means the president just had to convince another 10% of Americans to vote for him. The GOP contender - which ever insane idiot get's 'The Nod' (from corporations....did you foolishly think conservatives are intelligent enough to think for themselves?), needs to convince 30-40% of Americans that not only is the president a bad choice BUT they are the better one. Every presient seeking a second term has always held a distinct advantage in elections.

During tough times, Americans have traditionally kept the current president in office rather than risk things with a new person (i.e. Bush verse Kerry in 2004). Right now, the country is in a tough recession. The only person I see trying to do something about it, is the president. The GOP candidates individually are just unstable, foolish, and uneducated on the very complex matters and issues that face the country right now. Heck, if we held those GOP candidates to the same level of accountiblity and responsiblity that conservatives slam the president on an hourly basis.....NONE....of them would ever become president.

I find it amusing and hypocritical of you to say all this, given all the previous material you have bashed the current president on Termyn8or. Shouldn't Americans questions (in detail and expect answers to their satifaction, NOT, the candidate's view of satitifaction) of any person running for office (whether local, state or federal)? If the GOP and their conservative thrall/lackeys are going to 'ask questions' of the President, its perfectly fair for others to place the GOP candidates under a microscope and go over EVERY INCH of their life with a FINE TOOTH COMB.

The problem the GOP candiates have against just 'shutting up' and 'running the party line' as you put is summed up into one, three letter word: EGO. Their ego is the size of Jupiter, while their ability to deliver is smaller than that asteroid that passed the planet last week (the one that was as long as an aircraft carrier).

Arpig -> RE: New poll.....Obama ahead..... (11/20/2011 11:51:05 AM)

The whole question is moot. The only republican contender that isn't a complete fuck-up is Romney, and he'll never get elected because he's a Mormon.

The election is as good as over already. Result: Obama wins 2nd term...forgone conclusion.

Whistling past the graveyard again I see.
Why would even democrats want to vote for this guy? He's been a *disaster* for the country!
Oh, he came up with a healthcare plan that would cost most families $1,500 per month and cut Medicare benefits by $50 B.
Beware of the wrath of Senior Citizens! And Veterans and Independents none of whom he can win without.
His justice dept sues states over enforcing immigration laws that they (won't) enforce ( that's going to be a huge negative against him alone.) and now they want to make it "illegal" to violate "terms of service" online? WTF?
Sure, if you want a "Big Brother" type of govt. interfereing into your life and putting us $4 Trillion more in debt and calling that,..."an investment" then by all means vote for Obama.
If you want our Troops interfereing in ratbag countries all over the world then he's your man!
If you want your taxdollars used to bail out big corporations, banks, brokerage houses and stolen by "companies" like Solyndra and others then he's your go-to guy isn't he?
Let me get my sunglasses on, all that "transparency" is giving me a headache!
