As things stand now, Obama will be the next president regardless of third party effort or not.

At least if Obama is reelected, the Affordable Care Act won't be repealed. Republicans want to repeal the entire thing including the part that makes denying payment for preexisting conditions illegal. I am pro isolationism though, so I don't agree with Obama on everything. I'd like to see a candidate that's for universal health care and against globalization. Unfortunately, it seems like if they're in favor of one they're against the other. It's very frustrating.

"You do know however that the whole Crockett vote, meeting with Bunch and the story created around all of that...was a ruse ? "

Then I give up. There was never anyone good in this country and that is that. It's not worth saving.

And it doesn't matter if you have a valid debunkment of that account or it is actually true but denied by those who have motives. It doesn't matter because it is over. Completely over.

If it was a lie it is over. If it was the truth being called a lie it is over. Doesn't matter. Know why ? If I wasn't there it didn't happen. That simple. I can't believe anything. If I can't trust history then I cannot learn by it, which means I am doomed to repeat it.

Bring it on. It's now time to not give a fuck.

Fast forward to now and Obama's numbers are better, getting better and you yourself come up with just that alleged failure. I very much suspect that you get that from the news and your present, partisan perspective not from an objective historical perspective.

These days, you may pick up everything you wish from the news. A failure was somewhat hyperbole statement. Obama failed to impress. He is just a typical politician-hypocrite. He forgot his "change" promises as soon as he stepped into the office. Economically, he has decided to ride a dying horse as long as possible by building huge deficits. What will he do to make case for being re-elected? At first, it is all Bush's (forgetting Bill conveniently) fault. Secondly, he had no other choices and he saved the economy from the collapse (what is a lie). Regarding his war efforts, he will avoid discussing these at all.
Ron Paul has problems as well. I do not really see how can he in practice change the country. Things have been pushed too far. The debt and corruption can not be easily rooted out. The man is too kind character. His chances of winning are very small anyway. He has resources, but he is not running a good campaign. There are speculations M. Bloomberg entering the race as an independent. He will have much better chances to win if it happens.

The Kenyan's chances of singing a second term seem to be steadily improving over the last few months, don't they?

Oh great, another 4 years of hearing you call him the kenyan. I can hardly wait[8|]

Would you rather find out what he will end up calling the Texan?[8D]

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Ron Paul Says He May Not Support Another GOP Nominee (11/8/2011 4:57:32 AM)

seriously; that's so idiotic.

i don't remember anyone calling Arnold Schwarzenegger "The Austrian." not even when they were busy trying to get support to change the citizenship requirements for President so he could run.

i guess it's okay to be foreign as long as you're "familiar." [8|]
(and the President isn't even foreign, which only adds to the silliness. =p)

tazzygirl -> RE: Ron Paul Says He May Not Support Another GOP Nominee (11/8/2011 5:03:23 AM)

Would not have been much of an insult since he was nicknamed "The Austrian Oak" when he was body building.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Ron Paul Says He May Not Support Another GOP Nominee (11/8/2011 5:15:40 AM)

it doesn't matter, it still wasn't done. people were falling all over themselves trying to get him to be able to run for president. meanwhile, someone who was born here has his American-ness called into question every couple of seconds. it's hysterical closet racism.

tazzygirl -> RE: Ron Paul Says He May Not Support Another GOP Nominee (11/8/2011 5:30:36 AM)

Moon doesnt do it out of racism.... but I do understand your point. Whenever I bring up the issue, Im told I am playing the race card. [8|]

Cept himself if won.[:D]

This is interesting, considering he`s actively running for POTUS himself presently.

This also means that the tea-party(the real one) may not support the republicans AGAIN, this time around.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/06/ron-paul-2012-gop_n_1078471.html

Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said on Sunday he will not necessarily endorse another GOP candidate if he does not win the nomination, saying he cannot throw his support to anyone with different views.

Paul, a congressman from Texas with staunch Libertarian policies, supports major spending cuts, an end to the Federal Reserve and an end to many federal regulations. If the Republican nominee holds different views, he said on "Fox News Sunday" that he would "probably not" give an endorsement.

"If they believe in expanding the wars, if they don't believe in looking at the Federal Reserve, if they don't believe in real cuts, if they don't believe in deregulations and a better tax system, it would defy everything I believe in," he said.

Supporting a candidate without those libertarian views on small government would be like telling his supporters that "all we've done is for naught," he said.

"It would disagree with everything that we do," Paul added.

Ron Paul is the phoniest bastard of them all. Preaches cuts in spending while doling out to his corporate friends in his district.

I agree DYB,he`s typical in that way.

i don't see why he would endorse anyone else. if he did, that would be like saying "i endorse you doing everything i don't believe in."

i admit, i've gotten more familiar with him lately, and agree with him on a lot more things than i thought. =p if he endorsed any other Republican, it would literally make no sense. =p

There is a point after ending one`s campaign at which most candidates endorse another, hoping their supporters in turn support that other person too.

The significance here is he`s announcing this now, this early, before any candidates are dropping out.

As well as his previous anti-GOP activities, like having his own convention during the GOP`s convention just blocks away, after being mistreated by GOP leadership.

It`s a dig at the birthers/extreme-rightists and an attempt at humor.

It also reminds the majority of republicans who aren`t birthers, about the faction of repugnant whacko creepy creeps in their party.

Please don`t take offence or think it`s an insult to the president. It`s an insult to extremists in the GOP,of which we have a few on these boards.

hot4bondage -> RE: Ron Paul Says He May Not Support Another GOP Nominee (11/8/2011 6:13:56 AM)

Who could he support without throwing Lady Liberty under the bus? The only other real conservative is Gary Johnson, and Johnson already endorsed RP during a debate.

Complete straw man.

RP has addressed this numerous times. He votes against his own earmark funds, and if they are passed he appropriates the money and gives it back to his district. If he didn't take those earmarks then the people he represents would be paying for something and getting nothing in return; it's better to get some of the tax-dollars back, but it would be best to not send those funds to be ear marked in the first place.

SternSkipper -> RE: Ron Paul Says He May Not Support Another GOP Nominee (11/8/2011 9:17:02 AM)

RP Is just fucking weird... and I find it comical he set his roots with the Republicans rather than Independent... specially since he had a strong past of campaigning and pontificating against both parties.
