I think I'm hijacking the thread here, but:

Atlanta and Orlando occupy sites are being raided tonight

Video of the raid.  I heard there were children in the camp.  Several people injured, at least one critically.

Public property belongs to the "shareholders" and last time I check public means people, they have a right to be there.
Well unless public means "People", then we have a problem in Dodge and they most certainly can be arrested for trespass!.

I wish I knew which video or tv program I saw it in. But apparently the very large Urban Areas since Giuliani first pulled it to get 'bums' and homeless out of the streets (you know, the folks who because Reaguns had years before 'cured' their mental health issues and let them out of institutions to start exciting new lives)... But anyway, during the period they spent wandering the streets looking for that trickle to come down from the sky, they started getting mysteriously arrested brought to the city limits and dumped. And if the they came back enough ... they'd get jail since the vagrancy laws now had teeth.
The program said that as time rolled on and 911 came up they got even weirder with all these special curfews. There was a sport where a local attorney who described himself as a "run of the mill criminal defense attorney who does about 30 hours of pro bono for the  office of the PD a month" he says that he's had to look up the curfew and other charges that have been applied at various times because "in 30 years of defense in the city of new york, I've never heard of these wacky charges ever".
Trust me, they knew a long time ago they were gonna need to deal with unruly citizens someday soon. That's why you'll never see patriot II ever repealed.

That's never hijacking ,,, Nashville is getting the business tonight too.
I think this is a thing the movement needs to learn to go through and then spring back fast.
It looks like the winning strategy is gonna be a weebles kinda thing... we can wabble but we don't fall down.

That video's from tonight's gassing, not this morning's.

Sorry.  I was told it was from the 4am raid, not the raid currently happening.

As to the timing of that 4am I think it makes the police look like cowards.  Can you imagine the history books:  Police fire upon peaceful, unarmed and sleeping protesters.  Not since Kent State have I heard of anything like it happening in America.

Actually, I've been chatting with my friends about that. With tensions and activity in Oakland and other Occupy camps as it is, especially considering that stupid fucking chemical bomb yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if we see another repeat of Kent State before things truly hit the fan.

That said, it's hard to keep track of these raids and gassing/attacks. Considering the cops just did it a third time (I saw it live!). Though, in fairness the last two weren't raids per se, they were canisters of gas and flashbangs fired into groups of protesters on the march in response to yesterday morning's encampment raid.

Does anybody remember when the tea party held rallies, many openly carrying weapons and how they were treated like this?  No.  Me neither.

And errantgeek, I can see people getting shot eventually, too.  The American Taliban, er...I mean police...need to put this insurrection down.

So...is this thread like one long waaah-mbulance call or what?

Sounds to me like a clearcut case for CPS.

This all has just made me cry. It is so stupid, so unnecessary, and so very tragic.

God help me, I am beginning to think Hanners and RealOne are right about what the rights in our constitutions are really worth.

I would bitch you out because that's so mean, but the five pack part is so funny I just can't bring myself to do it.

Or laugh.

It's like sitting on a fence. If I think about it I can hurt the people who are destroying us, and one day I hope I can. Opportunity.

In the final analysis, good post. Designed to antagonaize, but with facts - almost. The rest is so old to me, but that five pack thing really does set it off. Who did that ?

T^T

i did it, though in retrospect it should read "bill of rights" not "u.s. constitution".

sorry, wrong window again. i am being distracted here. i think i will be hors de combat for a little bit.
